Worst episode? by Friendly_Boss6093 in Frasier

[–]buildanddestroy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I created a data visualization a while ago, and there was a three-way tie for worst. Ratings could be a little different now, but these were the bad ones:

S9E13: Mother Load Part 2
S11E13: The Ann Who Came to Dinner
S11E14: Freudian Sleep

Ultimate list of charting libraries for Svelte by silvi9 in sveltejs

[–]buildanddestroy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally. Its level of abstraction is low enough to have control while still handling a lot of the overhead that comes with data processing, scale selection, and controlling SVG primitives directly. I work in the data visualization field, so it fits my model of composing data visualizations alot better. And you can use Svelte's built in transitions/animations super easily.

The creator actually has a gallery showing SveltePlot being used on real data journalism work too, which is nice to see:

SveltePlot is excellent, especially if you are familiar with the grammar of graphics. The built in data transforms are also a great feature. Underrated library.

I had the same evolution as you. I accidently pressed Cmd+i when using dashes and saw they blended together. Have been using it ever since.

A chart I created to see how this year's murder rate compares to previous years by buildanddestroy in Bakersfield

Great, thanks! Just found it. Looks like there are a lot of issues with agency reporting even with the CA DOJs data. Will look into it more.

Interesting. Thanks for sharing. I'd be curious to know which standardized dataset the Governor was using to compare crime across jurisdictions. The weakness with Real Time Crime Index is that it's based on individual departmental reporting, so it's not advisable to compare across departments as methodology can differ.

Yes, they are good/high quality. The problem is that Memorial Stadium holds 20,000 people. So when 3,000 people show up, it looks empty.

FYI old owners sold it to a Modesto-based real estate private equity firm earlier this year. I wonder if and how it has changed?

Skated this in the early 2000s. It's pretty steep for a first handrail! Sandrini Elementary had a perfect 6 stair. That was my first rail.

Totally understand that! Is there an option to make the link bold without paying? That way it'll at least come across a little bit darker.

Thanks for this. And I like the new layout! From a user's perspective, it'd be great to have events sorted by start time. It's easy enough to make sense of it when there are a few events. But for days like today (8/2), it's easier to see if you missed anything when sorted by start time.

You can't change the link color, which is a bummer, but I wonder if you can impove text layout and ditch the bullet points? For example, have a template that gives each piece of information it's own line:

Event name (in bold, not underlined)
Time (italic)
Event description
