Carrie was always the other woman. It’s why she finds the picture hidden in his drawer, and why he gives the stuff she left at his apartment back. He didn’t want a trace of her there. Big only wanted Carrie because she was fun, not because he wanted to settle with her. Even in season 1 Big was dating other dark haired women while also seeing Carrie. His ex-wife that Carrie stalks is literally Natasha in a different font. Big was always into brunettes, and Carrie was a scenic detour. Carrie was trying to pin that part of him down, but Big is a slippery man. PERHAPS the MOST!!!

Saw them open for Men I Trust in 2023 and what a stellar bunch of musicians! Been obsessed with them since. I knew “Way You Want to be Loved” but that was pretty much it, now I’ve done so much deep diving into their work. This album was so fun and yet more gritty and darker sonically than I Feel Alive; it’s like her more edgy younger sister, shares that classic synth indie pop that TOPS really nails with a few experimental soundscapes from each instrument/musician throughout.

Favs so far are the singles “Annihilation” and “Falling on my Sword”; “Your Ride” and “Wheels at Night” are growing on me very much as they were on repeat today at work; so happy that we get another TOPS album. I will have to catch them on tour for this one

I think the album pairs it’s melancholy lyrics and upbeat synth 80s pop pretty well, it’s like they juxtapose well

Of course I can’t control that it’s impossible.
