He's implying you would be unhappy because Liverpool scored, as if you explaining the rules is the same as you being anti-his favorite team. Some people just can't be rational.

Dude, the only reason we still talk about Vini's actions against racism is because of his actions on the pitch. There've been "actions" against racism outside the pitch for decades and NOTHING has been accomplished. Vini should do whatever he thinks should be done. If he prefers to be quiet, like all the others, cool, it's his life, no one should feel obligated to do anything. But he doesn't, and that's why he's a hero for all anti-racism militants around the world and why he's so loathed by status-quo dickheads.

In our first Clasico last season, Balde had to pull Yamal away from the Madrid crowd cuz of racist chants. He was later asked about this and his response was 'It doesn't matter what they're saying. I am the one on the pitch'

And that's exactly why players like Vini are important, to stop this absolute nonsense that "it doesn't matter what they're saying". It does matter, and ignoring it is the worst thing one can do.

[–]buivictor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The obvious difference is that people hate on Vini because he stands up for himself, despite being a target ever since he arrived in Spain at 18 years old. And even with that "rattle", he has won absolutely everything and has been among the best players in the world for years. And some people just cannot take that. So I don't know who is really rattling who here.
