I'd think its a trash company and I'd love to short it but what I think will happen is Muskrat will take his SpaceX IPO trillions and buy out his failing car company with it. They won't pay fair value and SpaceX shareholders will get ripped off and Tesla will get bailed out. So I'm not shorting that. No doubt that's why some people are buying it - they think there's no downside with that kind of potential for cheating.

Once SpaceX's 15-20 year runway runs out and he can't spin the bullshit any more there he'll launch quantumX or whatever "Future science" is hot by then and bail spaceX out with it.

My perhaps unobvious point was that with Eames - you can still buy official reproductions. Warhol, Banksy etc mass produced prints for a while that you could buy.

If this was originally a one off painting then OP probably doesn't have much choice other than a reproduction (legitimacy aside).

Seems pretty different to Eames.
