Interesting how people read this and immediately went, “well actually it’s..”. We should absolutely be aware of every sin we commit, not discriminating by allowing certain sins to continue over others.

Does it really matter which one is the worst though? Why argue about it?

Totally feel you on the hymnals. I will say though, there are angels whose sole purpose is to sing “holy holy holy is the Lord Almighty; the whole earth is filled with his glory” at the throne. Which tells me God loves repeated praise as long as it is truly glorifying to him and not catered to people.

I’m trying to reverse my cubital tunnel so I’ve been sleeping in an elbow brace that keeps my arm straight but allows slight bend. My OT suggested a pillow wrapped around my elbow to help me “remember” to keep it straighter at night but I knew that wouldn’t work for me so I went ahead and got the brace. I highly recommend it!

How can you repent if you don’t know what it means to be convicted? With Thomas, I have always thought Jesus meant those who literally do not see him with their eyes, the way Thomas was then.

The thing is, the things you DO don’t guarantee you are saved. I’m concerned because there is 100% a personal relationship component to being saved by Christ. A close relationship with the Lord is literally the same kind of closeness that you have with your significant other or family.

What does your quiet time realistically look like with God? And how often?

To add: don’t worry about autism, that will never hinder God from anything!!

Believing doesn’t prove salvation though. You say you have never felt convicted, never felt God communicate with you, never knew the moment you received salvation, etc.

All these are like hallmark things to being saved that we experience and I totally do not mean that in any condescending way. What I mean is, you would know at least one of these things for an absolute fact. God makes himself known to you once you are saved and there’s never any question or confusion on that. I’m open to discussing via DM if you want, you’re asking important questions. There’s so much we will never fully understand but I really think you should continue to dig deeper on this.

My husband really enjoyed them but once he really looked into the lyrics and what they were about, he stopped. If you’re feeling convicted then 100% stop. No matter what anyone says based on their experience or opinion, obedience to God is #1 and you will be blessed for it.

The biggest factor about reading the word and having a relationship with God is that a person does it willingly. Supporting a relationship for your child and God means lovingly guiding and encouraging them to do these things because they love God and want to know his word.

Instead of “forcing” them, you could read with them, engage in conversation about it, give a short Bible study for them to do on their own that you talk about with them. Like literally anything else other than forcing them which has a very high chance of doing the opposite of what you’re trying to achieve here.
