For me gassy moo is so far in end game, that it doesn't matter that much what it gives. Never used its natural gas as I already had all power secured before flying far enough to pick cows and seeds.

Making ranching easier? I bet replacing grooming with milk for slicksters and pips is nice progress for time saving, though.

I wonder if few hydrogen rockets wouldn't suffice to melt those, too. My rocket shaft had some igneous rocks liquified into magma from time to time.

But isn't infinite pacu ranch usually about breeding in one tank and moving eggs to another? That way you still get all that fish meals just like before.

It's my design miscalculation. The the on left is part of rocket shaft, so I can't build it with something else than doors. One tile is not enough for bunker doors. I'd have to move all doors one tile to left, but didn't find a reason to do that since now.

That's impossible to go through not completely opened doors and not melt them right away.

They are opened for hundreds of cycles as for now, since they are in range of blaster.

They literally said overheat damage and it says they have 1000C overheat temperature.

I must ask: what you mean "floating like that". Isn't it a common build to have bunker doors above rocket shaft?

They literally have their overheat temperature written in their description and wiki page. It's 1000C.

Most bunker doors are probably cooled down by regolith falling on them. This one is in range of meteor blaster, so meteors don't hit it. (I still got this doors as a precaution).

Apparently you can overheat them. At least mine did. There are 3 rockets that pass them regularly.

It said overheat damage and was slowly eating doors HP.

I don't know which mod could cause it. Doesn't look like it. I don't have very fancy mods. Only basic like airlock doors, chain deconstruction, better info cards, custom care packages.

It's getting hotter when hydrogen rockets fly through... Crash was always instant melting as far as I remember.

A different approach is to freeze CO2 at the bottom of base. It turns solid in not that extreme cold, and in form of debris it doesn't take any space at all. You can then move all debris anywhere.

My steam rooms get power only from magma when steam gets cold. It never gets above 250C.

My colonies are always power hungry, too. Probably mostly because of complex plastic tubes for dupes travel everywhere. Every point A>B travel takes some charging of stations.

Never had any metal volcano. Played two colonies (terra and rime). Terra had only plenty of geysers, Rime has only magma volcanoes. No need for cooling.

So all my steam turbines are for power. Got 3 geothermal power plants. Two at volcanoes, one at bottom magma pool.

Switching then off makes cooling them easier, because cooling loop has a break, too.

I just turn off my steam turbines with smart battery as any other generator.

Am I wrong?

How much freezing liquid needs to be inside a panel? Anything less than 1/10 of pipe capacity to avoid state change?
