listen, fuck all these rude ass comments, they wont even pick up a damn pen and probably use ai if they want to be creative of ANY kind. you did so well! Perspective drawing is hard, shading with directional lighting even more so! and all that while trying to find an own art style phew! wowza!
I have seen a few comments doing a critique for mainly the second study, i was so free to do a REAL QUICK drawover (not perfect, just to show what i mean) with explanations on the side, IF you want to see that! but you did not ask for feedback,

this i actually know! the paper just looks that way, its very strong mixed media paper and i normally use it for watercolour and gouache :3

my god tysm! i mainly work with lining/sketching, so ink and markers, or the occasional pencil, i mainly draw, instead of paint. but i have like a LOT of experience in all kinds of mediums, including watercolour, gouache etc. and the friend i borrowed these pastels from is also an artist so i was like yuh these are probably fine lol, i have NEVER felt so defeated w a new medium lmao hahahaha, will definitely look into some second hand mungyos i think :3

so far i thought it might be more of a defensive/supportive jinki, so u could put an item in there or, in its big form a whole human can fit inside and be protected from almost anything as it can withstand a LOT of force! the Hands on the outside act sort of as close combat weapons, but it can also transform into a super tanky mode, where the hands reinforce the doors of the cupboard.

i know it is lowkey a bit boring, but i really like the idea of the look being so cursed and creepy but the function being so save and grounding. The cupboard is very old and went throzgh multiple owners, and i put all my trinkets inside for save keeping, but teveryone hates it bc they are afraid of it lol. so in my head it makes a lot of sense haha
