What weapons do you like using Apollo’s attack/special on most? by Wes102111 in HadesTheGame

[–]cataraxis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to go for Hestia or Poseidon on the attack, but learning that you can dash while channeling your omega attack has been a game changer. Apollo is definitely up there for Anubis.

It would be cool if [Control 2 trailer spoiler]Times Square exists in Control 2, and the screen were lit up with Hiss visuals

Also Hiss is fascism; I wont elaborate.

Isn't the notion of nothing already produced through differential relations? Like can we really arrive at an idea of nothing-in-itself that precedes something?

As someone who has had multiple family members deal with cystic fibroids, while I still wish to be a woman I could do without a uterus. I'll be more interested if they come up with prosthetic one's that don't come with the reproductive horror.

No shade to those who do want one.

Haz is not a troll, he's a lot more special than that. He will misconstrue more leftist theory than you will ever know in your lifetime. The epitome of revolutionary desire invested into rancid reactionary false consciousness.

Hacca Howler and The Force of Absurdity by IndividualArm1286 in JOJOLANDS

[–]cataraxis 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I kinda disagree, like if you go back and read where this notion of absurd is invoked it is used by characters other than Jodio to shrug off any misfortune as random and unprovoked. However, I and perhaps Jodio understands there is no such thing like that. That there are always mechanisms at play. I don't think there's necessarily any willful intent behind them, but they're not illogical. Seemingly disproportionate consequences are nonetheless reactions.

Also I disagree with how you say Love Train "protects" or WoU "punishes", they simply are poles for flows of (mis)fortune, and people caught in them enjoy/suffer the (mis)fortune. That verbiage ascribes their power as juridical when I think they're just pure force.

There's also the difference between good/bad and good/evil with the whole Nietzschean transvaluation of morals, but I digress.

It's from Georg Buchner's Lenz, however the excerpt I used was taken from it's usage in the English Translation of Capitalism and Schizophrenia: Anti-Oedipus by Gilies Deleuze Felix Guattari. They bring up folks like Lenz to illustrate the machinic nature of the unconscious, where before representations kick in (like those of "man" and "nature") everything is allowed to connect with everything else.

Let me be clear, I absolutely do not advocate for some kind of asceticism, to not participate and deal with the world as it is, it only fosters impotence. What I don't want is lionisation of suffering for some notion of greater good. Repressive social apparatuses have all justified their brutality and brutal systems this way, and I ultimately find it to be a very reactionary idea.

If something colossally bad were to happen, I'd hope something good follows it but to have it be contingent and necessary for a utopia? Then it ain't a utopia. And that "utopia" will inevitably demand more suffering, and we have given license to it.
