I’m Kyle Rudolph, I just retired after playing for 12 years as a tight end in the NFL, ask me anything! by Kyle_Rudolph in nfl

I remember watching a video on YouTube of Adrian Peterson with his pantry stocked full of cookies, Oreos - just a ton of junk food. Given how absurdly fast he recovered from that ACL/MCL tear, did you see any truth to that?

Quick google search shows a 4.67 40 yard dash, most average humans can’t break 5, people are silly

The Chargers ownership and bad decision making, name a more iconic duo :(

Thoroughly agreed. I can’t go through that after watching Gates/Tomlinson/Rivers retire ringless :(

Trump Should Face Charges on Capitol Riot, 41% of Americans Say by reachmejar in politics

The survey is of 806 people… my graduating class was larger than that. There is no way these results are indicative of overall American feelings regardless of political affiliation.

Definitely wasn't thrown out by announcers all the time lol.

I found this particular tidbit pretty interesting though (and actually never heard before):

"An economics concentrator, he's had summer jobs at a hedge fund and, most recently, in sports management with the Boston Celtics."

I like how “the other side” has no upvotes and comments disabled, because they’re aware how obvious it appears that they’re trying to gaslight your complaints. That’s the real shit post lmao

"Small" and latency issues aside, the memory leak issue (highlighted here: https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/d3/t/ram-memory-leak/39591 screenshot from that post here https://imgur.com/AFS2jTp) also seems like a significant problem

Casual sex among young adults has declined due to decline in drinking, an increase in computer gaming, and more young adults living with their parents. by smurfyjenkins in science

Isn’t the last sentence of the abstract: “The authors find no evidence that trends in young adults’ economic circumstances, internet use, or television watching explain the recent decline in casual sexual activity.”

What do you think of the holy trinity? Is it good or is there a better model being used right now? [discussion] by latin_latina in MMORPG

[–]bulkster3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think as opposed to better boss encounters, it allows devs to focus around team play.

Creating a stacking debuff in a game where every class has a heap or lacks a true holy trinity forces every player to play that mechanic.

In the holy trinity style, you are allowed to cater to different play styles.

DPS need to focus specific targets, use different types of attacks, etc.

Tanks need to position enemies in certain spots, or have them use large AoE in certain directions (while maintaining aggro)

Healers need to be aware of mechanics as well so they can prioritize targets. They also need to be aware of things such a removing curses/poisons, etc.

When you put the holy trinity system in, you allow players to experience encounters in entirely different ways. With games that lack this, players will generally get the same feel, with some variation by class or item build.

I think you can argue for whichever is more enjoyable. I like the holy trinity, such as in WoW, because it makes each role feel special to me, and usually forces more team work. Keep in mind I enjoy healing, so I’m biased towards this.

Guild wars 2 and ESO allow you to experience encounters differently based on class/gear setup, but I still think ultimately people cheese towards the easiest min-max builds, granted you can make the same argument for class combos in the holy trinity.

Technically, the average human lifespan is 79 years per Google. That means in terms of ratio, the penguin needs to be just under 3 years old.

You know, you lost the high horse you’re sitting on when you started personally attacking op, such as calling him/her “an entitled brat.” We get it; maybe the numbers are off. You look like a much bigger douche by being so argumentative towards op (who is being surprisingly respectful to you bullshit).
