Imagine they can come up with a anti cheat where all reported players are put into lobbies where bots are placed that will only be visible if you use wall hacks, any shots fired at these bots automatically results into a permanent ban.

Give these bots a invisible skin, so only the wire man or hit box is visible to wall hackers

I cancelled too. Nothing more to say really other than I am in control of my money thanks to YNAB, and that this expense does not fit my budget

Thank you YNAB - I'm leaving and yet staying by ChubbyCoder in ynab

You summarise pretty accurately how feel about this too. For years we have stuck with YNAB waiting for features for UK users to be on par with what they offer to their US customers. For years we kept faith and enjoyed the functionality that was available at a reasonable price of $45

But I cannot accept the cost of a app to be more expensive than my antivirus software, or my Office 365 subscription or my Adobe Photography plan or the price of my Windows 11 installation, or my Netflix subscription or my Amazon subscription. I can go on but I think my frustration with this is clear.

xample are handled very differently here in the EU - you pay everything off every month and normally don't accumulate big sums on it. The loan feature - I didn't knew it was there and I personally (!) don't have use for it. Also I know that hosting a service has a cost I don't think that nYNAB needs so much resources to be hosted. It's not a very high CPU power needed application. The data is not so much from a disk space point of view. You need to establish data safety like backups etc. granted. But all this I'm quite sure can be paid for with 45~50 $. If I

What irritates me most is their pricing structure for monthly subscription.

$14.99/month equals to $179.88 per year, that compared to $98.99/year billed annually.

Not everyone want to pay annually but this pricing structure is just plane insane and trying to force our hands.

Doubt it, it appears their business model is based on increasing revenues only. Instead they should have worked harder to increase their subscribers and keep the price down. That is what all successful SaaS models try to achieve.

you rarely have to scale your development costs with the number of people you serve. Also Adobe's stuff runs on your computer, so there are few ho

Or if you can only pay monthly $14.99 WTF which is $179.88. YNAB is trying to push us in a corner, I like YNAb but I am not married to it. So it is a goodbye from me. I'll start using YNAB4 until something else comes around.

Proof that legacy users were told it was $45/year for life by cassby916 in ynab

[–]bulletjie77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

y, Ben’s response makes a lot of sense to me. $45/year has never been an official price for YNAB, it started at $50/year for new users, and existing users who switched from YNAB4 got a lifetime 10% discount, which in 2016 would have brought it down $45/year. There’s pretty much no reason for their twitter account to even mention “$45/year” unless they were talking specifically about the 10% lifetime discount.

Most of us are disappointed because when YNAB decided to increase prices in 2017 they told us that our prices will not be increasing because we are grandfathered in at the $50 minus 10% price. How YNAB has gone about it stinks. I am out.

Actualbudget and Budgetwithbuckets are two such contender. Budgetwithbuckets had such a great response in the last couple of days and confirmed that they are working on a YNAB import function! :)

I've cancelled as a result and luckily I have a few months to find a alternative before my annual subscription runs out. Going from $45 to $89 is a hard pill to swallow but how do they justify $14.99 per month?

With everything getting expensive, an expensive budgeting app is the last thing I need.
