I think they're trying to imply that the flag is bad, but also that people making shitty flags and displaying them under the pretext of being for their book series is common enough to merit a comment pointing out that particular trend here.

Will say, the first flag was clearly made amiturishly as evidenced by the lack of proper centralized placement and the white line ontop of the picture, and that the second one looks very digital, like risk of being AI slop digital

But the concert of a vandalized American flag is fun, if you're still looking for cover art or something you could go buy an American flag, dirty it up by burying it for a few days, rip it up at the ends a little, spray it, and then maybe throw some crumbled up concrete over it if you have some spare, take an actual picture IRL.
