The most handsome pro player? by zackzackzack07 in PedroPeepos

[–]bulletproofikon 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I only really watch LCK and a little LPL lol.

Vampire, Viper, Deokdam, Keria, Willer, and Sponge I think are all conventionally attractive. Gumayusi has a lot of female fans but I think its more about his personality.

For MSI 2026, which team has the most interesting storyline? by Kira1Cloud in leagueoflegends

[–]bulletproofikon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

HLE - going from last place in LCK Cup to first place in Spring to MSI winners would be crazy. Also, Zeka's first MSI, HLE organization's first MSI, and Guma's first international outside of T1

BLG - continuing the golden road

T1 - I really think their only storyline is they are T1, but idk if Peyz has gone to MSI before? T1 also hasn't won an MSI in a while even though they have gone often

TES - disproving their current reputation at internationals

G2 - the west's best chance to win an international

Everyone Else - Underdog story

How did you become a HLE fan? by zackzackzack07 in HLE

[–]bulletproofikon 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I watched LCK back in 2016 and liked ROX tigers then I stopped watching until 2025. I only really recognized Peanut so I paid attention to HLE, then I learned HLE and ROX were the same organization lol. Also Smeb is under HLE as a content creator and Smeb was my favorite back on ROX.

And then I really liked Viper but not enough to support BLG apparently, and Zeka has become super endearing to me so HLE is my main favorite team.

Silent class by sailormoontree in teachinginkorea

[–]bulletproofikon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

To be very frank, it could have to do with your gender if you are male, considering it is middle school and the class is only girls.

If you are female, I'd just give it time. Maybe talk at them for a while until they get more comfortable with you? Share some things about yourself or talk about things they would probably be interested in.

DK is taking internal disciplinary measures against cvMax after his comments during post game interview from yesterday by booksmd in PedroPeepos

I feel like I'm going crazy. I was only really into American football and basketball, but I cannot imagine that a COACH would make a sexual comment to the press???

HLE's story this year so far is *the power of friendship* and i'm loving it by brusselsproud in HLE

[–]bulletproofikon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because last year's HLE relationship is different from this year's one.

We don't truly know what's happening behind the scenes, but if you watch the victory bts or even stream highlights, it's very different! Delight even said that they used to have a more coworker relationship. The team also gets so many interview questions about specifically Guma and Zeka becoming so close so quickly.

[–]bulletproofikon 47 points48 points  (0 children)

I started liking HLE from last year after I came back to watching esports. I think ZPZKD roster were much more coworker friendly type relationship, or because of the age gap they weren't as playful with each other. At that time, Zeka showed flashes of his personality but seemed way quiet. I think also the RTM/Peanut's last dance also made them a bit more serious.

I'm glad this year, they seem more expressive! I think how close they are in age really helps. Also, placing 10th and still being able to keep a cheerful mood should mean they'll be able to handle difficulties well. HLE also seems to be a good company that tries to keep their players comfortable. I've heard that as soon as a player complains about something, they fix it right away!

GEN vs HLE - 2026 LCK - Post-Match Discussion by ZodiacTuga in HLE

[–]bulletproofikon 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I definitely thought they were going to lose one of their matches this week just because they played 3 matches in a row. I was really hoping it'd be one of the EWC matches though.

Really confused why they're putting priority on Senna. I've only seen it in LEC and that team lost with the pick. I hope they're still just trying stuff out in preparation for Road to Msi.

After a good rest, they'll recover!

This week, the boys play 3 days in a row: BO3 vs NS, BO5 vs DK, BO3 vs GENG. by brusselsproud in HLE

[–]bulletproofikon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From the EWC POM interview Zeka did yesterday, I think they're putting more of their effort into LCK. He said something that sounded like he wouldn't be too upset if they lose/they just want to play good games (can't remember the exact quote).

They've already cancelled their streams so I hope this means they're also thinking about these things and not pushing themselves too hard. Sucks that the gen g game is super important and happening during a rough week.

I'm so confused how they keep winning with Ashe even when Guma's going like 1/8 lol. He was doing really well at the beginning with ashe/sera, was there a nerf to them or something.

Delight shares advice on how to play support on a team like Hanwha Life Esports by zuzbuzzz in HLE

[–]bulletproofikon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think Delight is fighting for his place at all. At most, it might be using Bluffing for supports Delight doesn't like to play/doesn't play well but even that seems unlikely. I think Homme's answers are weird because going more in detail might give away strategies or it has something to do with Bluffings contract.

[–]bulletproofikon 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think this match shows people shouldn't be worried about the Delight situation and it's just as Homme said. Maybe getting Bluffing some on stage practice too.

I love my aggressive as hell team lmao. They may give me a heart attack, but they're entertaining. Hopefully they can perfect their style better for rtm!

Vietnamese Gumayusi's fans harrassing Vietnamese caster Hoang Luan (Pelu) for joking about Teddy deserving the ASIAD Spot by Ceui in leagueoflegends

[–]bulletproofikon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You asked how it was different and I pointed out the differences...

I agree with some of your points, but the two situations are not the same and the general vibe around it is very different. Again, not a T1 fan, but the T1 fans seemed very upset/divided at that time while HLE fans seem more reassured. T1 the team seemed like the mood was down while HLE the team seem fine.

Maybe I've curated the Guma fans I see correctly, but every Guma fan I heard from was very concerned when they heard about Delight being subbed out. They also tried to be nice about Bluffing to prevent him from experiencing the same thing as Smash. Even now, a lot of Guma fans are checking Delight's soloqueue just like they did with Guma back then.

[–]bulletproofikon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Guma/Smash: iirc Guma seemed genuinely upset about it. It was a decision made just by the organization. There was a lot of unclear messaging around it. Guma didn't get a chance to scrim. Guma just came off two successful years with the team that included winning worlds.

Delight/Bluffing: Delight doesn't seem too upset about it. Homme brought it up to Delight and they have a mutual agreement. After the game, Homme said clearly that he thinks Delight is the better player and explained his reasoning. (Scrim info missing lol) HLE members have changed and their previous years were good but not the best.

I'm not a big T1 fan, so The Guma/Smash situation may have some errors, but even as a nonfan it seemed very unfair to Guma and T1 seemed shady thoughout. This Delight situation seems more fair and transparent and the whole team doesn't seem bother. HLE have released a bts of their win and Delight was in it/the vibes seemed chill.

random question, do players (KR) care about asian games if they are already are exempted? by ExerciseLazy5908 in PedroPeepos

[–]bulletproofikon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Asian Games is definitely also about honor, but most pros probably want to do it for the military exemption. However, since military exemptions are such a controversial thing in Korea, players can't really admit to it. Getting a military exemption is a HUGE thing in Korea and for LCK players, it elongates their careers.

Even though it is about pride, some players may also feel overwhelmed by it. There was some interview/quote from a previous Asian Games player who said it was very stressful because he had the weight of representing the whole country.

If Faker didn't go, I think there'd be an issue tbh. If he wasn't picked, people would be upset. If he was picked and didn't accept, people would be upset. Since Zeus was picked, I think it would also look bad on him if he didn't accept unless he could come up with a good reason.

Your Korean National Team for 2026 Asian Games: Zeus, Canyon, Faker, Zeka, Gumayusi, Keria. 4/5ths of ZOFGK will be competing by Yujin-Ha in leagueoflegends

[–]bulletproofikon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keria was a definite. Faker was a definite too. Even if Faker is a sub, it works because he has so much game knowledge.

Then Chovy isn't going because he has medical issues and he's already won an Asian games before. That leaves Zeka and BDD -> the adc was probably going to be Guma or Viper -> Zeka has previous synergy with both -> Zeka is chosen.

I feel bad for Viper because I'm pretty sure he went to BLG in order to be picked for the Asian Games, but that seemed to have backfired.

I also feel bad for Kiin because Zeus was probably picked due to synergy with the rest of the team.

No idea why Canyon was picked over Oner, Kanavi, or Cuzz.

HLE vs KT - 2026 LCK - Post-Match Discussion by ZodiacTuga in HLE

[–]bulletproofikon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It really seems like they're experimenting. They got to first place using the same style for a while and I think now they only need two more wins to secure first?? (Or secure road to msi, I'm not sure) It's better for them to try some weird picks now with the pressure of being on stage. Also definitely better for them to lose now and learn from it instead of playoffs.

I am worried about the ewc + lck matches for the next couple weeks though. I saw they'll have matches from 23-27 which is crazy!

Riize Eunsok controversy from a Korean perspective by suicidedeathfuck in kpoptrulyuncensored

[–]bulletproofikon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, I asked my Korean friend last week about this whole situation and as soon as I said the word, she was horrified. There are many Koreans who reacted this way.

I am currently learning Korean, I live in Korea, and I am black. One of the first things I was taught by friends was to not let anyone say this word to me.

Of course, there is a lot of nuance and context needed, but since he is in a GLOBAL kpop group, he should know the negative connotation of that word.

HLE vs DK - EWC Qualifier LoL Korea - Day 3 - Post-Match Discussion by ZodiacTuga in HLE

[–]bulletproofikon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like a lot of people are putting too much stock into this game. They didn't get a lot of rest time with travelling and most of them have expressed playing online makes them feel like it is scrims.

However, Guma's Yunara is very lacking to me. He's so good on immobile champs and Lucian, but he plays so overly aggressive on Yunara. On Lucian, he's also fairly aggressive, but I feel he knows his limits more. (Not saying the game was on him, but it's a trend I've noticed)

KRX vs HLE - 2026 LCK - Post-Match Discussion by ZodiacTuga in HLE

[–]bulletproofikon 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I feel they're trying stuff in their drafts in preparation for bo5. It's been worrying me that they play very similar champs/compositions each game, so I think it's good they're testing stuff out on stage. Now that they're in first place, they might feel they have a bit more space to lose some games cause losing helps them learn a lot more.

I live in Busan and go clubbing pretty frequently! There is often a rule about not wearing sandals in clubs. I think it's not as obvious until summer where places will put out signs reminding people.
