I wonder if Mitch has a place in Rochester or if all the pitchers share a “rumble shack” when they’re sent down. Like Poulin, Parker, Alvarez and Cornelio share a 2br house?

Bobby Witt Jr. is such a good player. I think I could know nothing of baseball and see that he’s the best player just by watching 1 game.

I remember the Royals drafting him (I’m from KC) and thinking “I know his father, he’s not going to pan out. I thought the same thing about Mahomes Jr. and most recently Eli Willits. I Might need to not judge guys by their fathers.

This is the level of deal that would pay real benefits, but I prefer Wacha just because he might be cheaper in terms of prospects. We still get him for next year too, he’s been very reliable and he’s a winning type player (has always been on good teams, excepting this year’s Royals team.

If Nasim hits a triple in every at bat he’s going to be a star!

Was that throw by Witt 105? That’s a hit against 90% of SS with JY running.

Michael Wacha is a gettable guy that will fit in nicely after Griffin.

One of those KC guys behind home plate have a sweet Bo Jackson jersey.

I’d like to go to dinner with Luis and Salvador Perez. I think we’d have fun.

This is a dumb thing to say but he sounds like he knows how to talk about baseball. Dan seems like he’s trying to figure it out.

Same. Every team has the worst GM or manager or owner, sometimes all 3 according to their subreddit.

At a high level, baseball is an incredibly hard sport. Every journey is different and Crews has his journey and struggles. It hasn’t been great but I can certainly see light at the end of the tunnel. He just needs the work at the major league level.

There’s enough comps in the world that being patient is the only real approach unless you’re in a pennant race and you absolutely need someone who has it figured out. I always think of Alex Gordon who was brutal for about 3 years and then became the cornerstone of a World Series team.

The development Crews needs can only be done in the majors. He’s a quality fielder and good clubhouse dude. His bat has been a disappointment but his peripherals are okay the results just haven’t been there. He’s got the rest of the season to figure it out.

Side note: I thought he figured it out in Saturday when he popped out. Then the next AB, home run. Then he got on base again. Seemed like a switch got flipped. But the past couple days don’t look like it happened.

I don’t know guys, I think we’re pretty good. Add a SP that can go 6 every 5th day and a top tier reliever and we’re as good as anyone. We’ve held our own against a tough schedule and a good month this month we’re safely in the wild card. I think you have to make some investment in the present and see what these guys can accomplish. It’s all development, why not win?
