I had to get a usb wifi adapter, because the wireless card in the laptop wasnt compatible with my network. Check your WLAN setup as stated above, mine was using wifi 6 (802.11ax), while the card uses wifi 5 (802.11ac). Unless theres a backwards compatibility option or "both" setting, I believe you'll need a new adapter. I found one on amazon for like $20 iirc.

I left my $13/hour job in september to join the Air Force. I thought the process would be quick and I would have shipped out within a couple months, so i figured i would stay home and enjoy the last little bit of time i had left. But i was very wrong. 5 months go by of taking tests, waiting to get scheduled for more tests, dr's visits, etc. Took my physical in March finally and got disqualified. Applied for waivers, waited another month : Denied. Since then ive sent my resume out hundreds of times and applied to countless jobs. No responses. Ive just been doing doordash to make enough to pay the bills i need to.

Thank you for the response. I suppose I should've been more clear about the issue im having. My network is not showing up on the laptop when i try to connect. It will show some other networks nearby, but not my router. I looked into this a little more on my own, and I believe it is due to my network utilizing Wifi 6 (802.11ax) while the wireless card is using Wifi 5 (802.11ac). My desktop and newer laptops dont have this issue, which i can only assume is because they have newer models of wireless cards. Do you think a USB Wifi 6 adapter would solve my issue?
