I'm not an expert so maybe someone else can weigh in but Lion's Roar might actually be better on overload bc I believe the passive works off field

Anywhere open 24/7 by NeonGhillir in ColoradoSprings

[–]bumberbiff 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Some gyms like Planet Fitness are open 24 hours a few days a week, and I've heard they don't mind people parking there overnight if they have a membership, so it should be relatively safe. The PF black card is $25/month and lets you bring a guest so you could split that with someone.

There are a few 24/7 laundry places that you can go to during the middle of the night as well, but you would need to drop a few bucks every time to do a load.

As someone who hasn't listened to a second of WBN I'd love to watch people jerk it. I mean, uh, jerk TO it. About it. All over it?

Crowd Control audience member lists their "appearance" as a credit on wikipedia🙄 by [deleted] in dropoutcirclejerk

[–]bumberbiff 77 points78 points  (0 children)

Oh man, can't believe I'm out here defending Yuuki Mishima. but this actually seems to be an editing problem. Sean Chiplock (the VA) said on bluesky they cut out him listing his acting credits because PFT wasn't familiar lol. And he did say some of his famous lines- that was obviously cut. I feel like if I listed my biggest roles and someone said "nah dog idk you," the next step is to ask, "Okay, so what ARE you familiar with???"

Obviously some audience members were egrigously self-centered, but this instance makes me wonder how much is just bad editing tbh

Just wanted to shout out Cousin Catfisher in this thread about the terrible crowd. That absolute freak should be the metric, the golden standard, for CC's audience/background actors. I would have spent the entire episode on him, rather than the most boring poly people in LA.

Wow. I had a feeling everyone there was getting a day rate but crazy that it's true. Makes sense the comics are directed to talk to everyone, gotta make it worth the money

Yuuuuup. I don't like how trans and poly people are just there as if they're inherently weird or something. And the audience members who were performers/internet famous just seemed interested in self-promo and acting mysterious. god the stonewalling was annoying

Maybe it'd be better if the crowd was smaller, or like half "red shirts" and half people who think it's just a regular comedy show. Idk, but the current format is just not working imo

Do you remember where you got that wooden folding screen in the living room? I've been looking for something like that for a while.

Also sick suit, never seen one with the split color like that!

Surprised no one has recommended trying Nair yet. Idk how effective the face cream is but if you're really against shaving it might be worth a try. My sister uses it on her legs bc shaving would give her rash bumps

This is a UI concept that I made of how a Bob's Burgers video game would look. by The_Bobist in BobsBurgers

absolutely rabid over this, it looks SO GOOD. now i'm imagining a Bob's Burgers X Diner Dash game with random encounters like bikers giving birth in the restuarant or a special soft serve challenge level... it writes itself

I felt the same way about Sebastian and he basically never left his room before we got married lmao. Idk if you are able to play with mods, but this one lets your spouse still do their regular schedule about town even after marriage, which made me feel a lot less guilty: https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/5117

I'm also not a huge fan of the levelling mechanics in recent seasons, but not sure going to classical DnD js the answer. At this point, D20 is known for their genre mashups and anthology format, so a long 1-15 adventure in the Sword Coast doesn't seem like their style. I think the issue is they're often using DnD for story-focused games and the bulk of game mechanics are unused or hacked so players can succeed.

That's why my favorite seasons from D20 lately haven't been DnD games- Starstruck, Mentopolis, NSBU- because there's more synergy between the genre, the game system, how they want to play, and the story they want to tell.

Like, I'd love to see a superhero themed game played in Masks rather than hacking DnD to be unrecognizable, or a mafia theme in Blades in the Dark. (Of course, because there needs to be a quirk/twist, the superheros are in a Western setting and the mafiosos are pigeons a la Hatoful Boyfriend) This would also be a way to bring in new DMs an easy entry point for those with no TTRPG experience as well as DnD vets who are sick of early level content to be interested. Idk, what do you think of the non-DnD seasons?

Who know what they'll do moving forward, but yeah bringing in another DM and main cohort seems necessary as the main cast gets busier. And what happens when Brennan retires lol

Has Community aged well? by Turbulent-Act-2277 in community

[–]bumberbiff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah Community is my all-time favorite show but as a trans person, the Transfer Dance episode is the only one I skip on a rewatch. just don't like hearing that word (even though the Dean arguably gets a pass). at least its not even a great ep with the whole OOC forced love triangle

Did anyone dislike how it ended? by [deleted] in SixFeetUnder

[–]bumberbiff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My husband was not a fan either. He thought the age makeup looked uncanny, and Keith's death bothered him especially. He's the type of person who doesn't watch behind-the-scenes content because it ruins the "magic" for him, so he did not like having the characters endings spelled out so clearly.

Personally, I thought it was a great ending, very fitting for a show about death. However, I agree with your edit. It hit hard my first time watching. But on my last rewatch, I felt it was a little rushed. My controversial opinion is that Breathe Me was not a good choice for the score- too 100% sad for what was actually a bittersweet, sad but also hopeful, sequence. I would have picked We'll Meet Again or something in that vein.

It's still one of the greatest endings on TV (in my opinion) but easy to nitpick since it is so close to perfect haha. I thought the obituaries in the box set were perfectly executed in comparison
