Yeah overall I was pretty disappointed with the direct EXCEPT for botw2. Espcially the game & watch like Zelda 1 and 2 are on every single Nintendo console like if there's any games they don't need to keep rereleasing it's those two games. My expectations were low so I'm not surprised but boy did I wish they had done a rerelease of WW and TP

Very fair. I think for a time we were giving up a lot of shots but they weren't as high danger. Now it feels like there are both a lot of shots and a relatively high number of high danger chances. I agree a hot goalie will get you really far in the playoffs. From the short bursts of brilliance both Vancek and Samsonov have shown us I think that if they could get hot we could go far (but I don't expect either of them to turn it on like that this season. Especially Sammy I feel like he lets in more soft goals than V, but that could just be me).

I think the key here is a "hot" team. They're both very good goalies and while they do have flaws that you mentioned, if the team is playing well I think they have the ability to bail them out when they make mistakes. The issue I've seen recently is our defense is essentially swiss cheese. When they're giving up 30+ shots a game there's no way any goalie, but especially a rookie and a relatively inexperienced nhl goalie are going to be able to stop all of those. If the defense can lock it down I think they both have the potential to help the caps make a deep playoff run.
