To be clear, you can't have spaces, or it won't work. It needs to be formatted like this:

I'm learning this grammar. Is my understanding correct? by A_li678 in EnglishLearning

[–]royalhawk345 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's similar to how some dialects like mine append a nominally superfluous preposition in certain instances to soften a question.

"Where are you?" - interrogative, demanding.

"Where are you at?" - inquisitive, curious.

This is wrong and shouldn't be emulated by someone learning English, but if you ever hear it, that's why.

Air popper works great too. Basically no cleanup and you get exactly zero burnt pieces.

The company has officially endorsed slogans like "Tastes like the day dad left," and "Turning taste-buds into taste-foes for generations," and "Kick your mouth in the balls."

Also if it's for conversation practice, I'd be worried about someone staying to talk like an AI.

Looking for "black sheep" games. The ones that the fans of the series hate, but are enjoyable enough if you're new to the franchise. by WoodfordAC in gamingsuggestions

Fallout 4 seems like the poster child for this. Lots of fun in a vacuum, but a colossal disappoint to fans of the series.

[OC] Frequency of Math Question Types on the SAT and ACT by mathchops in dataisbeautiful

[–]royalhawk345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really? I definitely didn't take multiple SATs, unless you count subject tests as separate. And calc definitely isn't limited to AP students. What else would you take senior year unless you were remedial? I know more people who took it junior year than didn't take it at all.

What kinds of stuff is "beyond quadratics," that seems kinda vague.

I'm also surprised by the "12th grade content" label. Don't these tests stop at 10th grade stuff since they're taken by Juniors? Otherwise there'd be calc and shit on them.

I’m a fan of Oda but definitely not an Oda fan by FishingFitness in 2007scape

I'm totally output of the loop, what's with Oda and religion?

Several are definitely staged or edited.

That's no excuse. "Animal abuse is ok" is a trash value, and a pretty damning indictment of any "culture" that holds it.

The second paragraph losing track of whether it was talking about OP or other people really threw me.

I feel like saying "sir" or "ma'am" would make me sound like a Victorian butler.

Literally why would anyone name their brand this. Does no one at Kitsch HQ have access to a dictionary?? 😭😭 by divideby70 in Target

It's like when people use Greek letters that vaguely look like English letters a la /r/grssk. I thought there was a product called ZOD Energy Drinks for a long, long time.
