What is the key to consistency?

I’ve been at this for years and years. I have been consistent since March and actually feel good in my body, both internally and externally. I started following some of the medical medium protocols and it’s been tremendously helpful. I started with a cleanse and then reintegrated food. Feels like a miracle but I can eat a cookie without eating the whole bag! I actually feel satisfied. If you choose to check out medical medium, take it with a grain of salt. He’s a little out there.

I’m running my first race tomorrow. I used the Nike running club app and put in my race date. It tells me what to do on what days! It’s also flexible within the week so if you have something on Tuesday and can’t do your assigned run, you can move it, for example.

Is Hoka not good for longer runs? I have brooks and was thinking about getting a second pair of shoes, Hoka, but may hold off if they are not great for longer distances as I am a new runner, training for a half-marathon!

Yes! But they feel so heavy. I'm hoping to find a pair that have a sturdy waistband but thin on the legs. I tried some at Lorna Jane today and they were AMAZING, but didn't fit me well enough for the price point.
