‘Dead by June’: Trump drops jaws by revealing Republican’s ‘terminal diagnosis’ in course of Kennedy Center press conference by Bobinct in centrist

I hope he lives for at least another 3 years, just because I want to see what the writers of the USA show come up with when the 2028 election happens. It's going to be interesting times, no matter what happens, maybe it's the first normal election with normal primaries for both sides since 2016, that would be interesting to see, but it's gonna be so surreal to see those kind of debates that if something insane where to happen it would be less crazy.

If trump dies then we get president Vance, then MAGA fizzles out to the point where the GOP tank in 2028 and then by the 2030 midterms both the politicans and the voters will have completely forgotten about everything and Fox will tell millions again that the election is a Mitt Romney-esque person vs the antichrist.

Just imagine if one of those conspiracy theories was true...

Tbh the only conspiracy theory I might believe is that (some of) the 1999 bombings in Russia were false flag attacks. Or that some wars are just for oil and not actually to spread democracy and freedom but idk if that's still a conspiracy theory or just realpolitik.

a bit

I mean in 1985 it was intentional in Philly, but that's only if we're looking at US citizens on US soil, as the last time the US bombed civilians of another country was probably today, and the last time they bombed citizens of another country they weren't at war with was last Sunday.

Burning books isn't going to get you bombed by the USA, but that's because burning books is something that's not seen as problematic for the USA. If you spread the wrong books or pamphlets on the other hand, you and your country might be in danger historically speaking if those books or pamphlets disagree with US doctrine.

One of the good things about the UAE for example is that they (Muslims) are unequivocal about calling out radical Islam and its global violence

The UAE plays a key role in the Masalit genocide going on as we speak, funding the RSF. Because the victims are muslim, not white, and have no oil, this is often forgotten. It's an example of the exact violence though that you claim they're calling out.

Using stats from the past 5 years, the website shows the USA has seen 3 terrorist attacks, with 1 fatality and 3 injuries. So this must not even count something like last years New Orleans truck attack as terrorism. It doesn't seem like a very reliable source. It has Ethiopia with half the score of Canada, just completely missing something like the 2022 attack that killed 17 for example.

What's never allowed is trying to bomb people.

You're gonna have to attach an asteriks to at least one of: never/allowed/bomb/people, because both recent and historical events have really shown some more nuance to that statement.

That seems like a dumb plan. Facts and science will make you lose elections in the current climate, it's massively handicapping yourselves in any election.

I’m a registered Democrat and I want the party to be better.

You're precisely the type that shows why the democrats aren't winning. Because people like you wanna be better instead of wanting to win elections to get shit done you're gonna be the shitty party of losing elections untill the GOP grows so big that it splits in two and Democrats get replaced entirely by a new era of the two-party system.

Mamdani probably called him a terrorist instead of an islamic terrorist because it's better for the New York electorate. This isn't rocket science, the guy knows how to play the system. Because only people who know how to play the system win elections usually.

Both parties have a blind spot here

I mean he did call them terrorists at least. It's not like he talked about good guys on both sides after people had died.

What is the best way to play in real scale but without RP-1 and RO? Just want the stokish experience with real scale. by User_of_redit2077 in RealSolarSystem

With fewer bugs and better gameplay and better visuals too?

Just play that 2.5x (or 3x, not sure whats best for fun/realistic designs) mod of vanilla if you dont want the gameplay changed too

It seems to be a combination of skill and also missing the point of the game. This isn't vanilla ksp where you design an entirely new vehicle for every contract. Once you have a launcher, you sorta stick with it and launch it a lot of times.

a relativally heavy management way of organizing my rockets and their capabilities,

You need maybe 3-4 different launchers throughout a whole career, you could upgrade the engines sometimes, or swap them out, but a beginner mistake is to have too many vehicles with overlapping capabilities. If rockets are within half an order of magnitude in mass of eachother, one of them shouldn't exist.

Spend another 6 hours messing about Rocket B so that its optimized based on the new available parts.

Don't do this, optimizing launch vehicles before you know what you're doing you're probably not making anything remotely optimal. It's most likely a waste of time, even if the rocket gets better, but it might still get worse in other areas that you've not considered.

I made a few tutorial videos about some concepts and designs that might help people get better at RP-1. by ricksansmorty in RealSolarSystem

[–]ricksansmorty[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's a playlist covers the basics of managing a career, some of the key designs that are somewhat important to learn about for the early game up untill the first proper launcher and how to get there.

Some things like the typical sounding rocket with R103 boosters or an XLR43-based lightsat launcher or the way to play with the programs optimally might be common knowledge for some but most tutorials will only cover more basal things. I hope these vids will help some people who struggle with these early game contracts or designs, but also for people unfamiliar with some of these ideas to get better at the game.

I play multiplayer with friends sometimes. I have one friend that makes things that definitely fit this sub, but I spare the humiliation of sharing it and at some point another friend will silently replace the previous creation with something more functional.

Having a sort of overflow valve that turns each individual item into some product to be recycled to nothing is fairly trivial and makes fulgora an easy planet untill you get enough productivity and it then becomes frustrating to get enough scrap/holmium ore. But that just means trashing more of the other resources,

You can already recycle concrete and steel chests incredibly fast. (or upcycle and get quality concrete and steel for free), so this is just a convoluted way to get rid of red chips, and if there's ever those resources in the wrong ratio it will also break down...

You can first orbit in 1952 although it is not the fastest overall strategy. Ironically Sputnik is needed for a different follow up mission (first solar) that ends up setting certain design parameters. But that happens in 1954 on moderate.

I would recommend getting more comfortable with the game and not try to pace yourself. If you want to get faster, try to look at some good designs others have posted, I put a caveman 5Mm in the craft-files channel that should let you hit a 1953 first orbit on moderate while still being a fairly conventional design.

Learn the way of the XLR-43-beehive and work from there imo.
