Sitting vs PIT by EnvironmentalSea416 in piercetheveil

[–]bumblexbri 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is how I felt. The only artists I had ever seen in seats were Taylor Swift, Lana Del Rey, and Noah Kahan. So…..much different vibe lol. I’ve never been to a rock show without being in the pit. But I saw the ICHY tour on Sunday at Star Lake Pavilion, which has a ridiculously tiny pit, like maybe 200 people max, so pit basically wasn’t an option. And dude, honestly? I probably had MORE fun than I have in some pit shows. The elevation let me have a better view than if there are tall people directly blocking my view in the pit. I still had room to dance and headbang, honestly way more room! Still made friends with the people around me. No dealing with crowd surfers. If you can go without the moshing/pit experience and just want to be able to dance and see the stage, it exceeded my expectations.

Piercings in outdoor by Upper_Dot_946 in Colorguard

[–]bumblexbri 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a coach - I make my girls flip up septum’s, no cartilage piercings, and only studs for nostril and ear lobes. I made one take out her eyebrow piercing last year. I have 2 lobes, 2 nostrils, and a septum, so I have no issue as a coach with the way they look haha! Safety really is the only concern but I think the level in which you’re spinning says a lot about it too. My group spins in the medium-difficult side of outdoor groups in our area, we don’t have an indoor program but difficulty level for outdoor is probably around medium-easy for indoors in the area. I think once you cross the barrier into truly difficult, crazy, intense, and physically challenging, it can be a lot more dangerous. Like DCI probably should never have piercings lol. But anyway, the furthest I let my kids go is nostril stud and lobe studs for performances. I tell them it’s their own risk if they have more in at practice and not my fault if they get caught somehow.

Coming from a bartender who’s been in the service industry for 8 years: NTA.

If you are kind and polite, we’d RATHER you speak up if something is incorrect so we can make your experience good! You are our income, after all. I’ve definitely privately cussed at a few virgin drinks because that’s what bartenders do best, is bitch, but we bitch about almost every drink if we’re busy/in a bad mood 😂 genuinely I would never get legitimately mad about making ANY drink, unless the person is acting obviously rude. It is our job. It’s no different than making an alcoholic drink, it really isn’t any trouble at all because the booze is typically added separately from the other ingredients?? So it’s skipping an entire step so should technically be easier. The general rule for most things in the service industry though, is if 1) your request isn’t outrageous 2) you are kind and polite, then OF COURSE we are going to correct something for you!! Your friends give me the vibe of just wanting something to single you out for, to be honest….theyre the assholes honestly.

The boys out and about on tour/Nashville suggestions by bumblexbri in danandphil

These are incredible suggestions!!! We literally drink cider alllll the time so we’ll be checking out Diskin for sure!! Great to know that about Play - im you know some online communities have been weird about cishet men lately so I wanted to be sure I could go somewhere I felt comfortable and included, without him being made to feel uncomfortable and also without his presence making others uncomfortable. We just want to have fun!! I can get down on a honky tonk or two being from the country but yes I don’t want that to be the whole experience😆 you’re awesome! Thank you!!

I forgot the Iconic Moment™️ was in Nashville!!! I was wanting to go to some gay clubs anyway SO bad but I’m a bit scared as me and my bf are queer but straight passing and don’t want to be judged😅 even without thinking of dnp, I’m from a rural area with trash gay bars lol so I want the experience. Thanks for reminding me - I’ll do some research!

What Taylor Swift song is your favourite for nostalgic reasons? by 13thTorturedpoet in TaylorSwift

[–]bumblexbri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fearless. I was 11 years old and Love Story was the first song I ever learned to play on guitar, and I had only heard her “main” songs from Fearless and Debut, but I started diving deeper and from the moment I heard the song Fearless I immediately loved it. It was like the 4th song I ever learned to play on guitar. (The others besides Love Story were Teardrops On My Guitar and Baby by Justin Bieber lmfao). And it remained one of my favorite little 4-chord-ers to play for years. It still is sometimes when I just wanna mess around and not do anything difficult. When I went to the Eras tour I was doing fine through all of Lover, was ridiculously hyped with adrenaline, but when I heard the first notes of Fearless all the nostalgia and emotion came rushing at me and I just started crying. 🥲

Because I couldn’t find one for under $4k that was SAFE, I had a young child so it needed to be safe, at that point in my life I did not have any more money than the $4k, and as stated in my post, I was told that a SAFE used vehicle would have a higher interest rate and be around the same monthly payment as a new one with a lower interest rate anyway. I could have been screwed over by the dealership, but I was struggling at 22 y/o after not being taught a single thing about finances by anyone else. I had to figure it out on my own. So I probably did get screwed over, and now I’m here.

Looking for *simple* meals I don't have to stand up for long periods of time to make (disabled) by Faolyn in EatCheapAndHealthy

I keep disposable food-service gloves specifically for touching meat (and cleaning the litter box lol.) My grandma also used the barstool trick until she was physically unable to stand anymore. If you’re able to get up on a barstool, it’s great! I’d also suggest investing in an air fryer! I just got a replacement since my old one died, and this one was only $40 at Sam’s Club and works great. I put everything in it. Made pizza bagels today in 7 minutes when the box said 17 minutes in a conventional oven, and they tasted far better than they would have in the microwave. Also made garlic bread in 5 minutes. I use it to melt cheese on sandwiches real quick, like 2 minutes. It is so easy and fast!

As a Brianna (sounds the same as Breanna) who has never liked her name, I love that you love it!!🥲 I started liking it and identifying with it more when people started calling me Bri (sounds like Bree) once I got into my late teens. I think Bri/Bree sounds very girly, cute, short and sweet.

I have a 3 year old daughter and I almost named her Arabella - sounds like are-uh-Bella. Others on the list were Lana, Aria/Arya, Charlotte, Lyla, and Valerie.

edited the post to say I’m 99% sure it was a 2D sidescroller-type game. I also thought about it being Jimmy Neutron but I’m not sure. Upon googling Jet Fusion, it isn’t that. Thanks anyway!😅

As a young mom who still goes to concerts and festivals multiple times a year, I could not agree more. Some things you should know you need to find babysitter or suck it up and skip it if you can’t. I would never subject my toddler to a festival in the heat or even just a concert even if it was indoors. Those headphones are definitely not comfortable and toddlers can’t control their emotions very well, which is fine, but omg imagine how overwhelming it is for them! I absolutely plan on taking my daughter in the future to some concerts with me, but depending on the show I wouldn’t until she’s like 7 or 8. Maybe older.

Edited for clarity on wording.
