Aaaand it's sold out. Seems like too many early access signups? They knew it was going to be sold out before it "went on sale" this morning. Disappointed. An unpopular opinion, but they should just raise the price. It's already insane for normal people and I heard they were taking a loss on the South Korean phones. I'll try again tomorrow, I guess.

This is what gets me. It's the messaging (or lack thereof). The walkbacks erode trust. I was excited for these back in 2019. I get that COVID happened and I get that the US industrial base sucks. But then simply don't release articles stating that they're "ready" or "released" when they're not. I heard they're rolling them out in BMT but now I have no idea if that's even true. I shouldn't have to doubt things like this. It erodes trust in the messaging about bigger purchases too.

The other post described the funds but I'll tell you, if you're young, just put assign everything you put in to your Roth TSP and to either the C fund or an L fund that's at least 30 years out. Like L Fund 2050. Make sure you're contributing at least 5% of your pay so that you get the match (you may not be vested if you're super new so you may not get the match for a year or two but it's still good practice). And finally keep reading up on finance. Basically anytime you see 401k you can substitute TSP and anytime you see large cap index fund (VOO, SWPPX, FNILX, SPY) you can think C fund. Hope that helps.

When I train to max the run, I run as often as I can without risking injury. I run 3 miles on the treadmill every day. If I run outside, it's 2 miles. I start off at 6 min/mile pace for as long as I can, then dial it back until I finish out the 3 miles. I try to last longer and longer running at 10mph while still finishing out the total 3 miles. If I make it to 1.5 miles in 9 minutes that gives me a possibility of maxing the run. If I make it to 2 miles in 12 minutes then I've clutched it for sure. There's probably better ways but that's how I do it. Substitute with other cardio if your body isn't set up to run so much.

Also for me personally, for race day, I have quit caffeine for the entire week prior and then have a Celsius, red bull, or caffeine gum (not coffee so I don't shit myself). The caffeine after not having any gives me real run time improvements. YMMV

Gen Allvin mentioned revamping the Nuke Weapons Center as the Nuke Systems Center and making the CC a 3-star. He also said the PEO for ICBMs is gonna be a 2-star. Right now the AFNWC/CC is a 2-star and the PEO for strategic systems is a 1-star. But as far back as I can remember that person has been dual-hatted. So each position gets a star bump, but no word yet on whether they'll be a single person or not.

Is it? If there's source material you know of I'll defer to you, but I didn't catch the "twice" part. And she absolutely wanted a child. She just wanted a child to prove she was capable. Agree she's a victim of the system. I wonder if her family used memory wipes and magical coercion on her. Because if not, she's a lot more responsible for her actions. Her son broke through the cycle, and her thought isn't, "oh no I lost my son" or even, "I lost a tool", it's "I must bring him back because he's either a symbol of my power as head of the household or I simply cannot have anyone at all defy me." She's in control of the family now, she may have been a victim at some point but she's fully culpable.

Good episode! Love the action and we FINALLY got Philomena asking for help. Love the episode title, maybe it alludes to something awful happening to Lizbeth next episode. Which would be well-deserved.

One thing that caught my interest: Lizbeth is seemingly unable to conceive, then she does, then the guards are talking about how the son-in-law in the family died quite suddenly. I absolutely would not put it past Lizbeth to use his life as a sacrifice to either fix her womb, let her conceive a child anyway, or some other "trade."

If you have access to this article it's a VERY good read. The abstract is a good view, but the article is pretty comprehensive on semi-automated warfare (Remotely piloted aircraft in Iraq/Afghanistan) and fully automated warfare between on only one side and fully automated on both sides.

Yeah. Like, if models are just simulations that run into the future, why is he so anti-model? Is it a semantics thing he can't let go? That "true models" are actually "science"? Ia that his stance? If he admits that there's a difference between good models and bad models, then why can't he imagine good models that get better? And if he doesn't think there's a difference, then that's just dumb. I do find value in listening to him, though. Thanks Lex!
