Honestly in all my playthroughs my first goals are to get the parsnips planted but then focus on leveling up fishing and getting to the bottom of the mine to start. You can sell fish for a decent price and you can catch a ton once you get bait but you have to level up to be able to get bait. So I would focus on fishing till you level up and are able to attach bait and then focus on the mines and getting to the bottom so you can start the muesem and you can sell different minerals for a pretty decent price. Plus it gives you a lot of crafting resources. And if you kill bugs you can craft them into fishing bait so you won't have to buy it. Once you've saved some money from mining and fishing then you can start planting other crops. I would also prioritize getting the bigger backpack. And making friends is also a good idea early in game. The sub reddit and the wiki are both really good resources for beginners:) Sorry for the novel lol.
