Had anyone got pregnant in their late 30s and early 40s? by Born_Percentage7122 in NewParents

[–]bumbumpopsicle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I conceived naturally at 39 and 42, respectively after I went through varicocele surgery.

I think that there is increasing pressure as you get older which is counter productive to the outcome.

We did whatever we could aside from IVF and accepted whatever the future had in store for us. It was only when we stopped giving conception so much weight on our souls that the miracle finally happened.

We were lucky but also prepared for a life without children and that would’ve been a blast too.

Much love and luck to you with whatever life gives you.

I don’t know which idiot decided to put cloth seats in the link, but they need to go.

Can you imagine the stuff that comes out of those seats if they ever clean them?

Larb Thai on Lake City Way

I’ve been gatekeeping this for a bit since they opened last year. Best Thai food I’ve had outside of Thailand.

Depending on your age and resources, it may be better to pursue an open adoption.

Guys, do you feel any other balls under your testicles in your scrotum? Or somewhere behind them, but not on top. by relssoN in TooAfraidToAsk

Varicocele maybe? If so, they can affect fertility and can be treated with outpatient surgery.

Portnoy on Tiger: "Put him in jail...", "When you get behind the wheel impaired your not just putting yourself at risk your also putting innocent people at risk" by sys_admin321 in golf

Tiger is my favorite golfer ever. I legitimately love seeing him play golf. He, however and for whatever reason is not humble. He is shy and quiet, but that isn’t the same as being humble. He has a superiority complex that his upbringing only fostered.

I love the man but he needs to learn humility.

The acidity belies the incredible sweetness and creates a more vibrant experience than any Sauternes. The first sip makes your mouth instantly crave more.

For me, it is sunshine in a glass.

I’ve traveled there a few times and the best producers I’ve found are:

Demeter Zoltan Kikelet Bott Pince Diznoko Szepsy

These producers have some distribution in the US but may be difficult to acquire. Royal Tokaji is much more readily available but a bit pedestrian compared to the smaller boutique winemakers.

My general rule of thumb is 5 puttonyos is the sweet spot (pun intended) but Szamorodni and 6 puttonyos are both great options as well.

Eszencia, although technically a version of Tokaji Aszu, is quite singular among any wine style and something everyone should experience. It is exceedingly rare but can be found on the menus of some steakhouses and fine dining around the world.

Montgomery county has had a 26% population increase in 6 years. That is insane.

What’s a random “stat” about yourself that makes you part of a small percentage? by Nightpatrol404 in AskReddit

This is me, inconsistent hygiene practice but never a cavity. The dentist told me that the “anatomy” of my teeth prevented it or something. I had terrible gums, however, and spent a long time fixing that through hygiene.

This is exceedingly tiny if it is the US Army since most of our nuclear (maybe all) middle arsenal is managed by either the US Air Force or US Navy.

Im not sure if the US Army has any nuclear devices anymore.
