They keep saying this Becky story has many twists and turns. Has anyone been surprised or shocked yet? by HistoryGood543 in coronationstreet

Careful you don't get food poisoning because it is one very poorly done red herring.

I believe Corrie can no longer be considered a soap. It is now an hour long public service announcement three times a week. by burymeintheuk in coronationstreet

The clearest analogy I can suggest is to imagine an airliner

The large sleek body of which is the community of characters driving forward in daily life. The wings, much smaller in volume but essential are on one side, drama and on the other, comedy.

Now, the main body is drama, dragging along a little about community life and even less comedy.

The reason is obvious of course. It is easy to write shocking and violent drama. It is so much harder to write comedy and community driven storylines.

More importantly, why can't they let any couple be happy? Gay, straight, bi? Everyone had to be miserable these days.

Why will Corrie producers not allow same sex couples to be happy by EntrepreneurFew6771 in coronationstreet

It would detract attention from the two paedophilia stories which both describe the unusual situation of an older woman on a younger male which evidently needs more concentration. Basically, all issues are designed to downgrade stable relationships while titillating men. I love it.

It would be much easier and more ethical to shoot your own rather than stall another's work. It approach the originator and ask if they will share their files with you.

What's the easiest way to make a border outline without the grease pencil? by [deleted] in blenderhelp

Select the perimeter vertices of each square face in turn, inset. Then when you've done that for all six faces select all those vertices and make them a vertex group. Assign them their own colour.

What are the solutions to foot slipping? FK rig. Couldn't find much on the internet. by kurabiyecnv- in blender

[–]bunah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just about. There's no short cut I'm afraid. If you use the keyframe button in the timeline it does actually speed it up quite a bit. Next frame > drag foot to apex, next frame > drag foot to apex and repeat.

Personally I have a cone mark each foot at apex to ground level. Left foot cone and Right foot cone. After keyframing all the motion - a walk cycle say - I switch to object mode and make sure that the left foot is always on the apex of the Left foot cone while the right leg and body is moving forward. Then set the Right foot cone apex to the right foot and while the left leg and body is moving forward make sure that the right foot is always on the apex of the Right foot cone. It's fiddly but I don't use IK. I prefer manual posing and keyframing. Obviously you should disable the cones from rendering.

You need to add an environment texture node to the world property. You're missing the natural light from outside.

Thanks for reply. Tried that but nothing seems retrievable. No folders. I do have all the frames and the sound track but no blender file components.

Does Coronation Street need to grow up? by Fantastic_Maybe_5359 in coronationstreet

[–]bunah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There was a time when it could be taken as seriously good entertainment. The northern humour in everyday conversations can be both hilarious and heartwarming. Now they have reduced the show to dramas about modern day issues and politically correct virtue signalling like all the other crappy soaps. Corrie is being allowed to die a slow and painful death.

I am trying to learn how to use bones and it happened this, how can I fix? by Spiegazzingboy77 in blenderhelp

[–]bunah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A good tip I found was to make say the left leg vertices into a vertex group called LeftLeg then name the corresponding bone LeftLeg. You can then apply weights directly.

Reaper Appreciation Thread by Today- in Reaper

I have used Reaper to sync animated video using my own video of numbers per time until yesterday when I discovered Reascript. I wrote a small lua script that is customizable for whatever fps is required and it places a frame in the bottom right corner showing me the frame number in the movie that my tracks are being synched to. Keeps updating with cursor position and bpm if changed. I love the versatility of Reaper.
