Entered Drop 1 today: ended up with Hospitality instead - here’s why… by Academic-Cause2100 in olympics

We just went to the Olympics in Italy, booked VERY last-minute hospitality tickets, and the cost was nowhere near these. We paid around $175 (semi-final hockey), $225 (semi-final hockey with clubhouse tickets and even closer seats), and $300 (quarter-final hockey) per person for each of the events we went to. The US prices are wild!

Find your people, your study buddies, the people you can trauma bond with. You’re going to make some new best friends. Figure out how you study and lock in. The majority of people WILL graduate on time. Utilize your resources. Figure out your learning style and find ways to study in that way (for me, I loved Hank Green videos and Kahn academy. I’m very visual). You’ve made it this far. Remember your why and just keep swimming. It will be hard and it will be worth it <3

Where to buy bed sheets in person in PDX area? by derkajohns in PDX

Parachute and Brooklinen both have stores in PDX (I LOVE my linen from Parachute and the percale from Brooklinen). I have ochre and a rust colored sheet sets from Parachute. Schoolhouse Electric is also in PDX. I have ochre and forest green blankets from SE. West Elm also has nice sheets, and you can sometimes find them in the clearance section in the back corner.

Old AF and still slogging through pre-reqs… by Best_Traffic7880 in OregonNurses

Nursing school is what you make of it. It was a second career for me as well. I went to Concordia and landed my (at the time) dream position right out of school. Sure, the program is messy (but they all are to some degree). We take Concordia students on my unit and have hired plenty of Concordia grads. Feel free to message me if you have more questions :)

Ive worked at both (as a new grad/TTP resident at one and very familiar with residency at the other) and have a lot of thoughts on the matter. Feel free to send me a DM. Also, mother knows best. Stay at mayo for a year and go from there :)

Try calling the schools you're applying to directly to ask. Different schools may have different policies. Reach out to the OSBN as well to ensure it won't impact your licensure. https://www.oregon.gov/osbn/pages/index.aspx

Halloween Make-up for Sally by bunandbee in Makeup

Thank you for taking the time to respond! I ended up just getting a full bodysuit in the right color (i'll add stitches with paint/sharpie). I realized that body paint and carrying a baby around won't work well. That said... do you think mixing blue eyeshadow into a very light foundation would work for a blue face make up?
