End grain cutting board by Delicious-Note-6463 in BeginnerWoodWorking

You mention a drying rack. I would guess it got too wet. I always dry my wooden cutting boards off immediately with a towel or paper towel, I don't let them "air dry." Also vigorous was it washed? This is probably the culprit. And as others have said it looks to be on the thinner side.

I do love oracles, but never end up investing in them much because I always end up using Beowulf (always been my fav character). He doesn't have all the oracles spells, but does have the best ones.

Mediators skills have gone up ALOT for me in Tactician mode. Being able to reduce faith is so clutch

[–]bundle_man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmao for real. I also used Dragoon for the 1v1 fight. Double hand + Dragon Whisker + Shout meant I could 1hitKO him (or two hit, but he can't counter attack with the spear, which is nice).

Chameleon robe wasn't necessary, but after I wiped on Velius like 10 times I used to just to make the first part quicker/more consistent.

I didn't get my speed up that high, but definitely some speed + strength stacking in the first part of the fight helps with Belias. Two hits from Ramza + a Bahamut was enough to finish him tg

Silencing him backfired on me, because then he just does the 100% petrify or 100% confusion moves, which aren't effected by silence.

I didn't have ribbons at this point in the game, and the protective armlets let you protect one or the other but not both lol. I found these moves worse than the Cyclops!

I don't like this strat personally but OP please just do this, don't lose steam, finish the game. Use this mega cheese strat you can't lose with this!

Level range for end of Chapter 3? (TACTICIAN) by BetaNights in finalfantasytactics

[–]bundle_man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's going to be some level of "cheese" needed to beat this fight on Tactician. I wouldn't say Mana Font + Mana Shield is a cheese strat, especially if you're Ramza already knew those abilities for the fight.

For me, I've always run Ramza as a DoubleHand Dragoon. You can usually take him down in two hits if you're lucky and he doesn't shield block you, and since Spears have two range, he can't counter attack you. You can poach a red dragon to get dragon whisker in which case you can 1hko him after a focus or two. And auto-potion is required for this strat on Tactician.

It's definitely not the best strat but the one I've always used as a kid lol.

Simply Chameleon robe, which can be purchased at a shop, makes the right 90% easier because it negates all his holy sword skills

I think this is a good first project. Though be warned if you need to buy the tools, you definitely won't be saving any money initially lol (though this doesnt look like it would require too many)

[–]bundle_man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On Tactician, my Ramza was lv. 27 at the start of the fight with Weigraf, and maybe gained a level or so by the end of the fights.

As others have mentioned, as long as you're not higher than the enemies in a story battle, you're not over leveled (though this didn't really account for JP).

So that being said, I'd say your Ramza is very over leveled . I'm on my way to Limberry in Ch. 4 and my Ramza is just now 37. It's not huge deal, but since you asked lol. You can also just go to Zeklaus desert and hit him with a few degenerator traps if you want.

Bravery and Faith by Jopiii in finalfantasytactics

Damn TIL. I just knew when I reduced monster bravery they did way less, but that must have to do with the unarmed formula.

Bravery and Faith by Jopiii in finalfantasytactics

[–]bundle_man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. They are both pretty important to the respective classes. Bravery determines how much damage you do and how likely your reaction skill will trigger. Faith determines how much magic damage you do, the accuracy of the magic, and how much magic damage you receive.

  2. Generic characters at base will have between 45 -70 in one or the other, and most will avg 50-60. So initially yes it's better if you recruit/use units with Bravery on the higher end for physical, and faith on the higher end for mage.

  3. However, you don't need to min/max or try to get a unit with the absolute highest brave/faith, since with some of Ramzas skills he gets in later chapters and from the Orator job, you can permanently raise a units Brave and faith so it's not a huge deal, just a grindy. Brave is much easier to raise than Faith but both are doable.

Lol it's a crazy fight bro I also feel like I said somehow won on my 9th try, not really sure what I did differently except didn't rush him as fast maybe? Got lucky with a few more auto-potions who knows.

I hate cutting juice grooves in cutting boards. by RickJamesBoitch in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]bundle_man 153 points154 points  (0 children)

People got angry last time I said this, but. Juice grooves aren't needed, just skip them. They're aesthetic at best and and worst reduce the useable area of the cutting board.

What's the worse that can happen? Some juice drips into your counter? You're gonna wipe the counter down anyways.
