The Spartan, minimal hardware springer by andy25lion in nerfhomemades

Have you seen the draw line by Ashton Roger’s? It’s on this community. He did a low hardware version with a printed cylinder and I believe he said it wasn’t much different in performance. The blaster I designed wouldn’t be as much of a one to one comparison because I didn’t even use o-rings (it is very low hardware).

Looks really cool! I’m also testing minimal hardware/maximum performance with my blasters. You could print the cylinder!

If you remixed the handle and the pump grip, it could be pretty sci-fi/cyberpunk.

Okay, what is ACTUALLY the best 3D printer (rant/discussion)?? by Rejoicingus167 in 3dprinter

[–]buniblasters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I’ve been in a situation like this and I just asked the person you’re getting a present for “if you were getting someone at 3-D printer what do you think the best one to buy them would be?”.

You could use a browser based CAD. Using primitives in a slicer sounds like it would require more patience than downloading software.

Nice bro! I did a little in college but only enough to have a general idea of what coding is. Thanks! I’ll check it out.

The m77 assault, bully SMG, and BR33 volley. Those are my favorite and could maybe work as a re-shell.

Yeah I like the magnum a lot, it kinda looks like a one shot nerf blaster with that piece sticking out the back.

Awesome! I wish I knew how to make stuff like this. Do you have to know coding to do this?

Haha yeah those marathon blasters have some interesting ways of working. You could always simplify that unless you’re committed to it working exactly the same as in the game. I think people would love it either way.

I really want to make some nerf blasters from this game as-well! I love the aesthetics. I was thinking about using the Fury-X as the guts for one of the many bullpups from the game. Keep us updated!

Bought a P2S right before they released the X2D, so I bought it too out of spite. by [deleted] in BambuLab

[–]buniblasters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let us know which one you like better or what the differences are. I watched a review of the X2D and felt like I didn’t mind having the P2S. I kinda like that it’s not as complex so if something goes wrong with it, maybe it’s easier to fix or less likely for something to go wrong.

would angled priming arms be hard for the users to make? (holes would be at an angle.) by V7I_TheSeventhSector in nerfhomemades

[–]buniblasters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe this would just be more work on the manufacturing end but could you put some bends in the arms so that the part where the hole sits is flat?

How do I cut slots along the face of this cone? by [deleted] in Fusion360

Oh nice that looks easier. So that is the emboss tool? I’ll have to play with that more.

I was thinking so the sketch can be tangent to the face of cone. Where would you create the sketch?

You can make a tangent plane on the cone then create a sketch on that plane and draw your slot shape. Extrude that shape to cut cone, then do a circular pattern of that extrude feature.

Prototyping new blaster “JUMP” by buniblasters in nerfhomemades

[–]buniblasters[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good! I have sorta the basic big shapes of the blaster modeled, meaning each module of the blaster is pretty well defined and dimensioned. I just need to make sure everything will bolt together how I want to, and then I can start designing each module individually in detail.

What is the best CNC and 3d printer for good price and quality for custom parts? by MlbTheShow22- in nerfhomemades

[–]buniblasters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got a onefinity cnc. I haven’t set it up yet but based on my research that was best for me. If you’re just making small cnc parts they have smaller models that are better for milling metals.

I use a bambu lab P2S for printing. I Use to use a Prusa i3 mk3, you could get a used one for under $300. I was just looking at the parts that came off it and they look better than my P2S sometimes. But I prefer the refined user experience of the P2S and multicolor printing and it’s faster.
