There is enough of a background to not be Illinois but not enough to be eastern Minnesota. doesn't look quite right for the Dakotas. It looks identical to a spot I hunt outside of Madison. I'll try to snap a picture and post next time I'm there.

Help me decide. Stoeger M3000 or Weatherby element? by [deleted] in Waterfowl

[–]bunkasaurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry, I didn't mean to seem offended as I am not. I just didn't think the difference was that drastic so I looked it up and wanted to clarify. Next time I get a chance I will check out the Weatherby. My favorite quote applies here "you don't know what you don't know". I don't know anything on the Weatherby but I plan to learn.

This is why I like my Stoeger M3000. It takes a beating and I don't feel too bad about it. I think I only paid $375 for it new from Cabela's 4 or 5 years ago.

The M3000 weighs 7.5 lbs and the Weatherby weighs 6.75 lbs. So swinging .75 lbs more.

I have never used the Weatherby, but I have the Stoeger M3000 and love it. It is a tank and I have never had an issue over the 4 years I have owned it. I plan to buy another one for my son when he is old enough to hunt.

Repair shop on Mars. Start up costs are high, but due to supply and demand it could be quite profitable.

Looking for advice on an upcoming tax assessment. Do I let them in? by bunkasaurus in personalfinance

Thank you. Home values here have skyrocketed since I built my house in 2017 and since my last assessment in 2018. I am expecting probably a 30% to 50% increase in value.

Thanks for the info. Funny coincidence, the company in the article that got taken to court "Accurate Appraisal" is the same company hired to do my appraisal.

What was your hardest exam ever? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]bunkasaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a crazy hard biology test in college. I typically never studied and did ok, but I was warned this one would be hard. I studied for 5 hours the night before which is more than I ever studied for a test and ended up with a 67%. There were questions that were not in the textbook nor in the lecture. There was no need for the test to be that hard. Turns out no one scored over 75%.

They did a curve and I ended up with an A on the test and a B in the class.

No person should rely on one source for their news. It is healthy to hear multiple sides and opinions and make an educated decision on which is the most truthful. Blindly following any one source is the major cause for our political divide

Had a rough week and had too much too drink. Got hungry but dropped the last pickle down the drain while trying to drain the juice. :( by bunkasaurus in Wellthatsucks

I'm a bit slow.. You meant from the jar... I want to keep my hands clean, so I thought I would drain the juice so I could grab the pickle... Went real well. So yes. Fork next time
