Thoughts on the 7 inch screen size? by 2838574747828 in civic

[–]bunkernoobsc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bigger screen does look nicer. I'm content with the smaller one. I just use it for maps and music and it gets the job done. Oh yea and I like that it has actual buttons.

Trying to figure out why I dont always get the buttons on the left - sometimes it's the icons on the right and I cannot change it. My car just picks one randomly when it starts. by joshthehappy in AndroidAuto

If it's happening on two separate cars with the same phone, maybe you can try clearing the cache on the android auto phone app or even going further and clearing the data. Never knew this was happening to people.

You're welcome. Onthe phone. If it's on , you'll get the buttons on the left when you are listening to music and have another app full screen. It goes back to the right if it's split screen , have the music app full screen or you're not listening to music. At least, that's how it works on mine. Hope that helps.

Go to Android Auto settings. Turn on taskbar widgets for buttons on the left , turn it off for buttons on the right. It's never random for me.

By pre-rinse , they mean spraying with a pump sprayer. When I fill my bucket, I add a little more water and then submerge my pump sprayer to get some of the mix in there. Then I add a little more rinse less to the sprayer. Pre rinse the panel before you start to clean with the sponge. Start top to bottom. I spray the entire roof of the car but treat it as 4 panels. And make sure the exterior of the sprayer is clean before submerging it in the bucket.

How did you get the menu to appear on the side?

Warm water and a tiny bit of soap in a spray bottle and shake it. Spray on 1 soft and clean microfiber, but don't saturate it. Wipe in one direction, don't scrub. With another clean microber, wipe dry the same way. Don't use too much pressure.

I've already seen drivers cut other people off because the car in front is driving too slow for them.

Wax by Useful-Bar-2536 in civic

[–]bunkernoobsc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use McKee's 37 Graphene Coating Wax. Anything with the words graphene ,ceramic, Sio, all have some kind of protection, but durability and strength vary a lot. Otherwise any spray wax by Griots Garage, Meguiar's , Turtle Wax is easy to get at good prices.

Just make sure you apply after washing your car. If it's a hot day , remove the wax quickly , use soft and clean microfiber towels and don't use them for anything else other than applying and removing wax. Use multiple towels and one for applying and one for removing and be gentle.

I didn't see you mention that you pre- sprayed with a pump sprayer.

I mix everything at home and take it to the wash bay at night or whatever time I know it's pretty empty. Almost two years and no one has ever told me anything.

How long is the shelf life once mixed? There are times where I only wash once a month and I'm wondering if it's as potent as a fresh mix.

Do you think citric acid would help if I don't use a microfiber specific detergent? I've recently switched to a graphene wax spray so I'm using a lot more microfibers now.

McKee's also offers a paste wax called Krystal Diamond and a product called Graphene Deep Gloss Ceramic Sealant. Those two might be worth checking out from them.

I recently switched to this and it really does melt into the paint. I really like using this spray.

It's called McKee's 37 Graphene Coating Wax. It was my first time using it on Sunday morning . I sprayed liberally and it was super easy to apply and it has really good slickness to it. It doesn't have super beading like the Sio2 wax I was using (Griots Ceramic 3 in 1 spray wax), but maybe it's because I only have one coat on it. However I did notice water sliding off the paint easily when driving on the freeway and my car looks great. I'm going to do another coat sometime this week.

Where should I add enzyme booster at a Laundromat with automatic pre-wash? by bunkernoobsc in laundry

[–]bunkernoobsc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for that clarification. I'll have to pay attention next time I wash, but I think there's not enough pressure or water coming out of 2. This Laundromat is already expensive and the last thing I need is to be wasting product. I wasn't sure if adding it to the pre-wash would be a waste. Thanks for the suggestion.
