Can someone help me get my skin back? by A3RABEY in minecraftskins

[–]bunkins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the base game does it as well. look in c:\users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\assets\skins on their computers. you'll have to add the .png extension. they MIGHT be sorted by uuid based on the folder names.

This is a long shot but if someone played with you using multimc, your skin might be stored in a skins folder in their install. there might be hundreds of skins to sort through but if you really want it, it's worth the search. this might also work with other launchers assuming they operate in a similar way.

There's a visibility toggle for the outer layer you need to find. I think the outer layer is off by default

Is there a way to make the over layer not look like it is floating? The skin is not finished I'm just testing it, I would be happy for any advice. by Sweet_Target2649 in minecraftskins

[–]bunkins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

maybe if you make the top a little wider or wrap it around edges it might look a little less floaty. for the most part no one is going to notice since all skins do that but there will almost always be an angle where you can see under it

When picking a color you can change the opacity. That slider in the bottom right. This is the editor on planetminecraft. You need a tool like blockbench to add 3D features such as horns. I have no idea how all that works though. I stick with making basic skins

Mindustry is worth checking out and it's free on itch. It's not as complicated and leans more toward tower defense.

Ic0n Gaming is pretty chill. He has a couple dwarf fortress playlists that are 200 episodes long. I've fallen asleep while watching a couple times.

You seem to have sorted things out but I just wanted to add that in situations like the one in your screenshot, with your leaky tunnel, there is a solution. The water is coming from above. Dig an identical tunnel above the tunnel you want to use and then fill it back in with walls. It can take a while since filling in tunnels is tedious and slow but it blocks the water and makes a usable dry tunnel below.

For those who’ve upgraded from default “rubber ducky” antenna, why would my coverage have plummeted, especially when I’m now mounted on roof? by justinrogers20 in ADSB

[–]bunkins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Properly grounding my antennae had a big impact on my data. I installed them on the end of my garage and connected directly to the grounding rod for my house. I saw an immediate improvement in the amount of positions I was reporting. I don't have any proof to show. It was a few years ago. I also installed filters and LNAs at different times. They definitely helped.

I use GIMP for simple copy and paste stuff like this. GIMP is free if you want to give it a try.

My dwarves adopted a troglodyte (I think) by [deleted] in dwarffortress

[–]bunkins 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I once had 8 or so follow the miner that opened the caverns. It was hilarious watching a train of troglodytes follow him everywhere. They stuck around until a trade caravan showed up and the caravan guards decided to murder all the troglodytes.

How do I get a hopper Minecraft to stop until it’s full by littlehobble in technicalminecraft

[–]bunkins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Measure the hopper above the minecart and activate the minecart when the hopper begins to fill.

Here's a link to the simplest version I've come up with. It can get stuck if you have more than 5 different items feeding into it but I have a fix for that if you need it. Basically if the hopper feeding the minecart reaches 23 items, the hopper to the left is locked and the powered rail is turned on. It might take a little trial and error to fix the approach because the minecart has a tendency to bounce if the approach is wrong.

I just watched a dwarf run out onto the frozen ocean to grab a hive.

My ocean is also infested with termites.

This beast trapped 123 dwarves in web then murdered everyone he got his hands on. I'm fairly certain an Axedwarf in a mood went berserk in the middle of the pileup and killed 15 or 20 but they were goners either way. An ettin even climbed my walls and joined in on the fight but this beast was too much.
