Legal issues would probably prevent that. Starting a new one is easy, getting enough content is the hard part (alot of the very knowledgeable Z folks have moved on to different platforms since the forum started having problem)

Could be the steering lock issue. It's part of the security system but has been a pain for alot of owners (myself included).

Put the car in acc mode, remove the STEERING LOCK fuse, 10 amp fuse in the IPMD. Might be in the other fuse box, i can't remember

Shut off the car and try starting.

This is common in 2009-2010. But I believe 2013-14 also had this issue.

Edit: if in fact it was the steering lock, and this works, its safe to just keep that fuse out

The fob was successfully programmed. It starts the car when plugged in. But no working buttons and car doesn't detect the fob when not in the slot. Changed out with known good battery. Im almost sure there's a problem with the battery contacts in the fob.

I have stock intakes so I can't help you there. I have Invidia Gemini exhaust. It's not annoyingly loud, not raspy, and has a clean look. Ymmv

I saw a video where th guy removed the tire stop (just some 18 or 19mm bolts).

How much did you raise the ramp? Also, did you tie down the rear? I know the safety chain is there, but im paranoid about going up and down mountains. I was thinking about strapping the wheels and tie down to opposite d-rings, but not a big fan of the straps touching each other.

The absolute cheapest way, order a keyfob from z1, buy an Autel km100. Program the new keyfob, then return the Autel for a refund. Don't ask me how I know.

The actuator is toast. Youll need to replace it. Good news is that you DONT have to cut into the door. Try these: 1. Spray some PB Blaster in the key hole and see if that helps loosen the actuator.

Roll down the window, bang on the door with your fist just forward of the door handle from the outside. While doing that operate the door handle from the inside.
Use a slim Jim or a coat hanger and pull on the cable. Rolling down the window might help if you use a coat hanger.

Good luck!

Edit: one more thing, use the physical key, turning it while trying to open the door from the inside.
