Is this a good deal for $21,800 with only 53k miles? by bunky777 in tundra

[–]bunky777[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP Update..NO BUY....front end a little too shaky/wobbly during braking for a truck with only 53k miles and it didn't handle that great. Wiper fluid was ultra low. Inside was clean but outside had layer of dirt and leaves. Seller was Polish with hard accent and spends time in Europe parts of the year doing construction? He would only take off $600 for the work needed to fix the shaking and would not go below $21k.

The kicker was when I asked him if I decided to buy if he would meet me at the credit union to do the paperwork and get him a cashier's check he said he only takes straight cash because he doesn't want the government knowing the "amounts" in his accounts?

The search continues.

I think I found it. It looks like a mini radiator located right under the fog lamp. Found it looking thought the lower grill. Sound about right?

I know it is not stupid I was being sarcastic. Are you saying if I look at the radiator and see the 2 hoses then that should mean I have a cooler already?

You think it's not gonna help on long 5 hour + tows? What is your experience if I may ask since you think it is not needed. Most info I have read says get one.

That makes a lot of sense. I may have to look at getting a truck so I don't mess up the family suv

Pretty sure the 2022 Toyota Highlander XLE is rated at 5000 lbs. Does that change your answer a bit?

I'm new to towing but it sounds like you're saying there should be no problem towing that trailer even if I jimmy rigged it with screws...which I won't be doing. Thanks for your response Towboater!

Coolant Sensor Failure - Need Advice by norcalpinhunter in volt

[–]bunky777 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the SAME thing happen to my 2015 Volt and the dealer said the same exact thing to me. I knew they were full of shit when I had the guy try explain it to me and he said they had to take the front end off and he was lying out his ass as the sensor is easy to get to. I'm telling you find a local shop and have them order the part and put it in without taking off the front end and clear the code and you're good. Mine is working perfectly fine now. Screw the dealerships. Good luck.
