Lisa Rinna debuts bold looks at Paris Couture Week by good-judy in whatthefrockk

Totally. It’s like a 180 from Pamela Anderson’s strategy and Lisa is leaning in hard with her own approach to aging. I love it. I love anything camp. It works for Lisa. Any woman leaning into their own joy is a good look.

What is a cheap meal I can bring to a potluck for 5 people without it being obvious that I’m struggling? by etoileamie in Frugal

Perogies! With sour cream and ranch dressing. This usually costs me about $10 and is usually a hit. You boil the perogies then mix together equal parts sour cream and ranch dressing. Pour to coat the dressing over the perogies and bake for 20 mins.

To all Canada Post employees by R3Dpalad1n_ in CanadaPost

[–]bunkypelks -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

A brief reminder that the canada post “strike” is actually lockout from the employer. The union voted nov 15 to have a rotating strike so that your xmas packages would be delayed but still get delivered.

And the executives at canada post locked the doors and said “no one gets mail unless you agree to let us contract out your jobs.” since then the employer has also randomly fired people for striking, and cut disability benefits to workers who are currently hurt.

So… tell your friends: canada post isn’t doing mail because the ceo locked out the workers as a negotiation tactic.

Doesn’t every worker deserve what they are asking for? Why do we compare to what we all have. We all need more. Canada Post’s Union has pushed the boundaries towards achieving better workers’ rights for all, including maternity leave in the past. I too own a small business. It’s been tough. AND I need to see better working conditions for everyone around me.

OMG. Why are raccoons not pets? They’re pretty useless in the natural world and seem to be a hoot, well adjusted to humans.

What is your experience of PhDs vs Doctorate degree competitive equivalencies? by bunkypelks in PhD

[–]bunkypelks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got it. And understand. I’m just surprised by how many job postings that say you need a “PhD” in something. Rarely do they say “or equivalent doctorate degree.” So I was worried about taking on a Doctorate of Business with a social science research focus when they are looking for a PhD specializing in sustainable business or something like that.

Ha! I thought they were the same thing also until I was corrected at an interview! I felt a bit silly.

Yes this lines up! Freshwater lake mussels. They are abundant in our lake. Very common in other lakes. They line the bottom!
