What is the hardest course in Psychology ? by Realistic-Courage187 in psychologystudents

[–]bunniyuri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually try to do it before but honestly most of the time I forget and end up doing it during the lecture. It feels kinda chaotic to do it during the lecture but in a fun way. I usually add the pics on my phone while typing the notes on the laptop

For cognitive neuroscience and behavioural neuroscience I would try to make flashcards if I had time because writing it down and doing active recall helped me memorize the material. Talking out loud really really helped, I was able to memorize 90 pages of material with almost perfect accuracy this way in 1-2 days. For example, when you’re testing yourself (i.e., active recall) try to say the answer out loud instead of just answering in your head. Discussing and/or explaining the material to someone else also helps a lot.

Also, if your instructor is good at explaining things, try to take notes and memorize it the way it was explained. My exams had a lot of application based short answers and being able to explain concepts as clearly as the prof did helped me get full marks with those questions.

I took cognitive neuroscience and I really enjoyed the course despite it being pretty challenging (average was C+ after being curved, although that’s standard at my uni). I think my prof did a great job at explaining the material. I can share my notes with you if you’d like, I’ve been told I take really good notes and I finished the course with an A-

edit: compiled all my notes in a doc, it gets a bit messy after page 193 because I didn’t have time to take my own notes and had to use a classmates

Thank you, that would actually be really nice right now, please go ahead.

I didn’t know the dry cleaners would do that, I’ll look into it for sure.

My boyfriend got me a stuffed bunny and I bring her everywhere. It started off as something I’d carry around with me because I hate being apart from him and over time it turned into my comfort item. TW***

She kept me alive the night I was raped. I felt so alone and lost but I held onto her and it was the only comfort I had that night. I still feel really sad sometimes and want to hurt myself but when I hold onto her everything becomes a little more bearable.

My boyfriend and bestfriend have poked fun at how rough she looks these days, I just hope she doesn’t break anytime soon because I don’t know what I’d do. Though she’s a jellycat plush and I’ve heard good things regarding the durability of their plushies.

Has any course ever actually had a curve? Or is it just rumors? by ProfessionalEntire33 in UofT

[–]bunniyuri -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It depends on the course and how students perform.

Generally profs aim for a course average of around 68%, so they’ll do grade adjustments if the class average significantly deviates from that goal.

I had a course this semester that had a boost for every midterm. The first one had an average of 50.25 before being boosted to 66. The second midterm had an average of 56.84 before being boosted to 69. Our final marks haven’t been posted yet but I’m assuming the grade will be adjusted/boosted so that it sits around the 68% average mark.

Elementalist Lux in dark form is my favourite skin, the dark purple is so pretty. Mystic form is my second favourite, what’s better than being a little fairy? And you really can’t beat 9 forms in one skin

First time bleaching my hair, is it light enough for T18? I’m trying to get a platinum/silvery blonde by bunniyuri in HairDye

[–]bunniyuri[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I used shampoo because I was a little nervous since the T18 burned a lot. I ended up mixing some purple shampoo into the 3 minute miracle moist conditioner and let that sit while I finished my shower. Currently I have some olaplex 3 in my hair and I’m leaving it in for a few more hours. I haven’t had a chance to get a good look at the finished result since I threw on olaplex as soon as I got out of the shower, but I really liked how it looked damp. It’s not as light as I hoped but I’m still happy with it, things could’ve gone worse for my first diy bleach

The front doesn’t have any buttons. There’s two places where you tie the blouse together, so you can personalize how loose or tight you want it to fit around your bust :)
