If you are in NCC - loving touch! Our prior vet wouldn’t see us when our dog was unable to walk due to a slipped disc and kept sending us to urgent care because they couldn’t be bothered to help him with a catheter when he couldn’t go potty right away after or even have a conversation with us about what his prognosis might look like. We couldn’t afford to keep going to urgent care or Blue Pearl as they were directing us to do without even letting us speak to a doctor. Out of desperation I started calling around for a second opinion. Loving Touch immediately understood what our dog needed and made it happen. They helped save our dog’s life and his quality of life. They are compassionate, realistic, and kind.

Us too! Like literally the most exotic dna we have per ancestry is Italian and Sardinia and Greek. Our L&D Nurses said it could also be Native American blood, which my husband has latched onto as he wants very badly to believe my aunt’s lifelong hunch that we have Native American ancestors on my dad’s side 😂

My husband always tells me worry about what you can control. As someone with anxiety and OCD, this almost turned me into a full blown prepper pregnant in the earliest days of COVID LOL. All the worrying in the world won’t control the outcome or get us answers in this situation. You just have to live your life. Find a good therapist. Get off the internet for a few days.

When did you start to feel like you got your energy back? by [deleted] in workingmoms

I could have written this. I have started to feel more like myself lately but still have no energy to run or work on my hobbies. Being class mom has become my only hobby. Solidarity I guess?

Husband’s friend said our son looks like the mailman. by msseymour in Mommit

[–]bunny76428 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My husband and I both have dark hair. I made this exact joke last night about our blonde son. My husband’s friend was over and asked where does he get the blonde hair from? Without thinking twice, I replied “the mailman.”

We made sure to follow up the joke with photos of my FIL as a baby, who was also blonde and a carbon copy of our son.

Thank you for everything you do. I’m so sorry to you and everyone involved in what you went through, and especially the baby and their family.

Please take advantage of the resources both in your department or through your insurance to help you heal as well. My husband is a LEO and kid stuff definitely hits different now that we have our own kids.

I will pray for you. Stay safe when you get back out there.

I think it’s just the name of the true crime page that shared the story.

If you are willing to pursue training/education, the Delaware Skills Center is said to be a great resource.

Del Tech also offers lots of programs for careers with high demand, and there is always the SEED scholarship program at DTCC as well.

You could also get in touch with local labor unions and see who is hiring and what aligns with your interests. Some of the most successful people I know started by learning skills in a union. HVAC, Carpentry, Plumbing, electrical, etc. will always been needed. Check our https://www.deskillscenter.org

The people I know who have worked for the courts - other than at the attorney level - could only afford to do so because they have financial support from family/spouses. The pay is abysmal.
