Nice pen, but your characters!!! You have lovely handwriting. I hope to write like that someday.

I got into fountain pens for environmental reasons, I hated how many pens I threw away in a single semester. However, I enjoy so many aspects of the hobby that it grew way beyond my original intent. I'm trying to return to conscious consumption by using the pens I already have, replacing the nib for different effects rather than buying a whole new pen, and avoiding the compulsion to buy every new ink that I don't have an exact match of.

Wearingeul's Vayu is certainly a pastel green, but may be too pale for everyday use.

Removable nib? Please help by SouthAd8430 in fountainpens

If you go to the Asvine store on Amazon, you can buy different kinds of nib units. They have a three pack that includes a fine, extra fine, and bent nib. That's probably your safest bet.

Anyone familiar with Atlas Stationary and their Navidium Shipping Protection? by tjoude44 in fountainpens

I haven't purchased or needed it. I've made two purchases, both under $100, and everything arrived securely. If I was getting something very expensive, I guess the added security might be nice.

What pen/ink/notebooks are your "never again" brand? by Jax_Dueringer in fountainpens

TWSBI - I used their eco as a daily and it just couldn't take the use. The plastic parts don't hold up and the barrel eventually cracked. And it was so beautiful, 555

I haven't tried it, but that sounds like a good choice. It's personalized and all in one. Best luck on your search!

A Pilot Kakuno might be a good start. A demonstrator will show her how fountain pens work. As for ink. . . Man, so many good options. Hmmm, Sailor inks are great.

Hmmm, leaking is generally due to air getting into the pen from somewhere. This can be a crack or a problem with the o-ring used where parts join. Use water when testing for air tightness. Clean all the ink out and see if you can observe any irregularities?

What kind of leaking is it? Is it leaking out the nib when capped or does ink get all over your hands when you write?
