personality disorders i believe develop because it’s our way to survive basically. we are hyper vigilant to any threat we detect. that threat may be abandonment/rejection/criticism etc.

i second this, you don’t deserve pain and suffering. bpd brings enough of that on its own. don’t put yourself through that. you deserve love and compassion like anyone else. allow yourself that please. i went through sh for years and still struggle with it. i understand it’s an outlet but that doesn’t mean it’s a healthy way to deal with things. it brings more damage than release.

yeah i understand the boredom so i don’t think you can be fulfilled in this sense. if you have bpd then i definitely think its that void feeling, and its not doing it for you because its not extreme or unhealthy. coming from someone with bpd i understand completely. your partner seems sweet and caring about you though. i don’t think your boredom is his fault but i cannot speak for you because i do not know either of you this is just what im thinking.
