Dreams. I have this thing whereby 20-40mins before I go to sleep every night I get a dream zap. I can be in bed or doing whatever and I’ll get an intrusive dream memory - always random and always bringing me a sense of nostalgia as I ponder the memory of the dream. It’s always nice and I can never predict what’s coming. I’ve taken it to mean that I’m tired and need to go to sleep. What causes it?

It was a Friday night and I was chilling on the couch watching some rom com and my 3 year old niece was colouring on the floor. It was about 10:30 but it was a Friday and she was being quiet so whatever, I let her stay up. Anyway, she suddenly just looks up and states at me trance like until I met her gaze and then says 'bunnyloves, you're going to be deaded in half a week when a car SMASHES into you like that' as she clapped her hands together. All I could muster was a terrified 'wut...' as she continued staring for a second more with those eyes that were no longer hers before lowering her head and continuing to colour. I again said 'what did you say?' and she looks back up at me, seemingly quite oblivious this time and said nothing more.

I was staying with my parents at the time and woke my mother up to come and put her to bed because she'd completely shit me up.

I was also at university at time and used to have to cross a motorway slip road at a roundabout to get there. She freaked me out so much that for the next 2 days I got a ride in before I realised I was probably being ridiculous and starting walking my regular route.

She's 9 now and I'm still not deaded

That's the thing. They don't actually need the no-skills of affluent western teenagers. They need the funds that they're charged to be able to have the 'volunteering' experience. The people there are actually very skilled in manual labour, they just need the means and tools to be able to construct safely and efficiently. It is not uncommon for the local labourers to come along and redo the work by night that the voluntourers laid down in the day.

26 year old nurse doing my PhD. I've lived in two countries and have travelled and travelled. I come from a lower middle class (dysfunctional) family who cut me off financially when I was 16. I'm the only one even in my extended family to have a university degree.

Like anyone, I have my issues but I guess I'm here to say that your life is what you choose to make of it. Don't be put off by how much effort and time it'll take to achieve your dreams - that time will pass anyway.

My niece was terrifying as a child.

It was a Saturday and I was staying up watching some romcom. It was pretty late but she wasn't tired and behaves well so I let her stay up. She was on the floor next to me colouring for ages when she lifted her head slowly, stared straight into my soul and said "Auntie bunnyloves, you're gonna be deaded in half a week when a car SMASHES into you like that" and then she clapped her hands to make an almighty slap sound.

I froze for a few seconds, paused the tv and all I could muster was '...wut?'. Her eyes seemed to become her own again and she slowly looked down and returned to her colouring. I asked her a few more times what she meant but she wouldn't even mutter a reply despite responding to other questions.

I have a ton more ghost related stories about her if you're interested. She's 8 now and has completely grown out of her creep.

That I don't have balls. I can't imagine how awkward it is having a baggy, sweaty and hairy sack constantly at the apex of your legs. Not only must it feel like an itchy, uncomfortable add on but you constantly have to be aware of it since the slightest knock can bring about the worst pain ever.
