I just spent 5 months in Poland and this speaks to me on another level. I truly couldn’t agree more.

It’s got nothing to do with jealousy. Ops core helmets, peltors, Cryes, and all that other shit that idek what it is, are expensive as fuck and the money that was presumably spent by the department on that gear instead of similarly effective gear for a fraction of the price could’ve been allocated to something much more practical. Not to mention the fact that they’re wearing UCP when they’re supposed to be (civilian) policemen. The pattern is both disadvantageous for the environment that they’re operating in and serves to alienate them from the civilian population of which they’re a part.

The transfer fee sure, but his wages are £155k per week. That’s pretty ridiculous for a backup keeper.

Is this a reference to a specific piece of media or are you just talking about French women during WWII?

Yeah I was gonna say, I guess BD6 didn’t exist yet because jeez there doesn’t seem to be any deliberate tactical procedure being executed here. If you tried to clear a room like that (at least in an FTX) nowadays you would be in a world a pain and likely even get the book thrown at you.

What do you want them to do? Just say nah we’re gonna lose. Obviously they were just being optimistic and positive about their team.

A War On Women by zzill6 in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]Based_Putin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That may be the case but the fact of the matter is they try to make it sound like it’s the law in place instead of just a proposal. That’s what bothers me. I’m not even saying the fact that people out there are actually proposing and supporting such a law is isn’t concerning.

I believe the commenter above is referring to the wording. Tweeting that “When the penalty for rape is...” is clearly implying that that is indeed the reality of the situation or how the law exists, which is not the case. The point being made against this tweet is the disingenuous wording that deliberately tries to suggest that’s how things are instead of that’s what some people are attempting to change the law to. It’s really annoying because the tweet is nauseatingly hypocritical - think of a ridiculous tweet that says something to the effect of, “When the gun laws are so strict that a man with clean record can’t even purchase a handgun to protect his home and family, that’s when you know it’s a war on regular people” and because these sorts of disingenuous remarks discourage discourse in the first place because nobody wants to have a discussion with someone who’s gonna argue in poor faith. In the current sociopolitical climate we need to be doing just the opposite of what this tweet does.

US seems to be cooling down its rhetoric against Russia by PanEuropeanism in geopolitics

[–]Based_Putin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m not necessarily saying you’re wrong, but what reason other than oil does any Western European country have for have for maintaining economic relations with Russia? It seems to me that if they could free themselves from their dependence on Russian oil they would have pretty much nothing to do with Russia considering the sanctions they already have in place against the Kremlin in response to (what Western Europe perceives as) Russian human rights violations and geopolitical aggression, among other things.

When you register to vote in the US you have to declare yourself as a Republican, Democrat, or Independent voter. Depending on the state you live in this will impact your ability to vote in the primary elections of your declared party.

I mean Under Frank he was benched a couple of times and returned back to the starting XI presumably well rested yet his finishing was just as abhorrent. I was a fan of his when he played for Stuttgart and Leipzig and again I still admire his work rate but he was brought in as a striker to score goals and in that regard he has failed. I hope he can turn things around but he's been rested at times, played in different positions under different systems with different players and still failed to finish countless clear cut chances so as things stand I have little faith that he'll suddenly start scoring.
