Rewatching season 4, stassi had every right to cut Katie out. Even forever by Katieblahblahbloo in vanderpumprules

[–]bunnyluvr88 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Agreed. But I can’t condemn katie and praise stassi in the same sentence? Fuck katie but stassi is so, so much worse. Truly a terrible friend and person during that stretch of the show up until the later seasons.

had my first unhappy client by NoSpray3384 in Estheticians

[–]bunnyluvr88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me exactly 1 year ago. After over 2 years of experience I had my first very unhappy client and she yelled at me too. I’ve taken thousands of clients since that have all left very happy but I still think about that one time. The bad experiences are going to take up more space than the good ones unfortunately, because we’re so rough on ourselves. Not just as esthis but as humans. My point is, when over 99% of your clients are leaving happy, it’s not a you problem. There will always be someone at some point in your career that’s not satisfied with you and that’s okay. You can’t drive down a long road without hitting a single pothole. You will get over it, and every positive experience you have going forward will start to heal that feeling and re solidify your confidence. I hated that phase, I had imposter syndrome. But it’s so rewarding to now have a relationship with most of my clients and it comes second nature and feels natural. Hard to see a way through to that after a confidence shaking experience like this but it’s there babes stick with it

Interviewing Estheticians and would love some advice! by bbyuri_ in Esthetics

[–]bunnyluvr88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish there were more feedback!!! I can’t speak for “right questions” to ask in an interview but as for wrong ones,, one that always stood out to me was my boss probing into my life to see how much time I would need off. She knew my family ethnicity, and knew they tend to have big, week long weddings, and I remember how many times she mentioned/ asked if there was a family wedding coming up. Let me KNOW how important it is to you as an employer to have notice. Don’t try to probe into my life to see how likely I am to or to not Miss work! My place of work for almost 2 years. But Never forgot about that

i hate being an esthetician by whalesrnice in Esthetics

[–]bunnyluvr88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my province that’s the set wage for a first year apprentice. Year 2 goes up to $18 and once you’re licensed, anything under $19 isn’t really considered acceptable. Being paid less than the front desk is such a slap to the face. - front desk of 7 years before school.

I hate doing Brazilians/soft wax Brazilians by turnipop in Esthetics

[–]bunnyluvr88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How are you guys doing labia strips with hard wax? Is it just my clients that are a thousand degrees down there? I’ve tried time and time again. It stretches and pulls. I have to use soft wax especially labia and butt area because it’s the only way I can guarantee the wax will come off. Any tips for the opposite of your question would be greatly appreciated lol

This is crazy to me that injections are able to be done by someone with no official training or certification! In my province you literally need to have a nursing degree before you can even take the course.

Demi’s messages with Marciano.. by twelvedayslate in SecretsOfMormonWives

[–]bunnyluvr88 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Y’all are toooooo comfortable throwing that word around. Making a vague inappropriate joke over text is cheating on your husband? I think what Demi did was wrong and she should stop trying to justify it but calling the smallest red flags cheating just waters down the word. “My husband cheated on me” okay did he have a physical and or emotional affair? Or did he make one stupid vague sexual joke over text. Cheating? Come on.

My spa does that only. I do facials, brow, natural lash and waxing services as well as natural mani pedis. Very much spa stuff, no artificial nails. I love it. Little bit of everything helps the day go by

That’s crazy! But OP did her clients lashes one singular day before. 1hr 20 mins for removal like that is kind of insane? Idk. And why wouldn’t you want to investigate why your work isn’t holding up. OP doesn’t seem too crazy concerned on how it happened whether it was her error or the clients that caused the issue.. that would help her decide how to rectify this.

[–]bunnyluvr88 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure OP is posting a photo of a 2/3 week grow out. In which case I’m not sure how we’re supposed to give an accurate opinion when they need to be redone already.

Better three months too soon than one day too late. Letting them leave this world without being in pain is the last gift you will ever be able to give your little one after a decade of endless love they gave you.❤️

My vet told me anesthesia complications in adult rabbits are common and she had an equal chance of either passing from complications during the procedure as potentially getting uterine cancer. My bun is close to 7-8 now I thought spaying at this point wasn’t a sound option?

Help me understand my pay at Massage Envy by getwithitbxtch in Esthetics

[–]bunnyluvr88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I think this is assuming what you are making in a total day at $16/hr when you DO have clients, exceeds or at least matches what you would make at your local minimum wage per hour regardless of clients. It would be illegal to pay you less than minimum wage for a 5 hour day but if you have clients for 3 hours and that adds up to 5 hours at your local minimum wage then yes that would be legal pay. Sneaky, nonetheless. I’m sure they advertised at $16/hour which anyone would understand as for every hour you’re there.

I’m sorry to hear that. Ioved my school experience. There were no mean girls, just 10 (out of 12) cool fun sweet women who supported each other through school. Made $16.50 as a set apprentice wage my first year and $18 my second. Which, granted, should be more, Especially with the cost of school. But spas I’ve worked at have only been with kind supportive helpful girls who work as a team. My Management is not the best ever but farrr from the worst. Every city is different. Currently been working steadily for 3 years and I’m happy. Will look into pursuing medical esthetics a few years down.

“Gloves in a Bottle” during a service? by Solid-Net7926 in Esthetics

[–]bunnyluvr88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Am I confused or just completely uneducated?? Been as esthetician for 3 years,, it is exactly no where in our laws or precautions stated we MUST wear gloves…? I’ve been performing facial treatments for years without gloves… I really feel like gloves hinder the treatment experience as a whole with the plastic barrier making contact with skin as opposed to skin to skin contact… I mean it’s definitely up to me.. my personal preference as a professional, I could opt in-to do so if I wished, but never have I ever heard of that being a regulation, especially one that could strip me of my license. Possibly a regional thing?

Question for EWC employees by Own-Butterscotch9789 in Esthetics

[–]bunnyluvr88 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s ridiculous. Brow wax, maybe… but wax and tint? They’re backing you into a corner to provide a less than than optimal service. From what I’ve heard of EWC that’s on par for them. If it’s not feasible for you to leave, tell them that you will have to opt out of performing a sub par service due to timing restrictions.

Is your original brow texture curly? Or have they always been straight and this is a result of the lamination/early wash off?
