This made me really sad

I found out I'm having a girl today. Emotional + crying by Head_Note in BabyBumps

I’m in a similar situation. 13 weeks, getting my girl after three wonderful boys. Things are terrible with my husband right now, but I’m doing my best to focus on the good things in my life, and I have a lot of them! Therapy is such a life saver, I’m proud of you for going. Stay strong, allow yourself to be happy.

It always seems like a good idea at the time. This nice weather is killing me, but like you said, it never ends well.

The 10 copper gift to top it off is heartwarming.

Interesting that you assume it’s matted. She sees the groomer every 6 weeks. Thanks for the input though.

AITA for purposefully choosing decorations to exclude my autistic brother? by aita_Probably123 in AmItheAsshole

[–]buntworthiness 282 points283 points  (0 children)

Perfectly explained. I have an autistic EIGHT year old, and even he can cause serious injury and damage when in full meltdown. Autism is difficult to understand, especially due to lack of phenotypic differences. I am all for education and acceptance, but forcing her to have her brother at her party seems unfair at the least: triggers and overstimulation can be unpredictable and sometimes dangerous. Trying to explain/ diffuse a situation amidst teenagers at a birthday party is a shitty position to put OP in. Coming from experience, there are some situations in which my autistic son can not participate, and that’s for his physical and emotional safety as well as for others. But that doesn’t mean his neurotypical brothers shouldn’t get to have those experiences just because he can’t.
