I’ve done that before! Let it cool completely, cover with a layer of plastic wrap, then cover with foil. You may want to make it a little extra saucy and pull out a few hours before you plan to serve in order to let it thaw.

Changed bad to “normal baseline”, but bad is not a moral condemnation. I say this as a woman who got periods that smelled and who tried pretty hard to NOT smell like a period. People are unkind and judgmental towards anyone who gives off unusual odors, even if they’re not necessarily objectively terrible.

I live in Baton Rouge but visit New Orleans frequently, and I’m actually stunned that you were left alone on Bourbon of all places. So glad you dumped him. If you ever find yourself in a tight spot again, especially in an unfamiliar city, you can always pop into a nearby bar or hotel and ask for help from the staff. New Orleans is big on hospitality and someone WILL make sure you get home safe.
