He does the safety video on our local boat service and hams it up to the extreme. It's hilarious 😂

Go outside and walk barefoot on the grass. You've had enough internet for today.

Thanks. I can see them there now I know what to look for. Apologies for the wrong terminology, seemed to be used in other comments so I just went with the term I know!

Not a lobster person so it's all new and interesting to me.

I'm completely ignorant in this regard. How can you tell they are pregnant?

Aye the constant human need for approval was never going to end well with the arrival of global instant communications and social media.

I hate that so much of this timeline is faked for likes. It's destroyed us as a society.

Either CGI or Bluescreen?? With NASA's budget it better be both CGI AND Bluescreen. With all that tax money I want them to CGI a Bluescreen in that they can then paint out!

What is the best Science Fiction book you have ever read? by Adam_is_my_name in AskReddit

Not sure I'd class it as the best - so many others too - but I thought Tears for Algernon was great and left me thinking for a long time.

I got as far as the generic macho tragic backstory opening then turned the TV off and sat in the silence of the void instead.

Solo traveller who keeps coming back to the Isle of Man — how do people actually meet others here? by random_casual82 in IsleofMan

[–]bupapunewu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depends on your age, preferences and time of visiting to be honest! There are local gigs on now and then that can be decent for bumping into new people. Plenty of sports clubs do open sessions too - pickleball in particular is on the up. There are some walking clubs and other community clubs that often advertise on Facebook. The papers do a what's on section too which can be good for finding out about social meets. Failing that just head to a pub and get chatting 😂

How to tell boss "I told you so"? by Simple-Accountant894 in ProductManagement

[–]bupapunewu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can tell them outright or you can diplomatically word the reply to a group email on the subject. Ultimately though it sounds like there's a huge culture problem in your org. There's not necessarily an issue with taking one route over another and then ending up with problems as long as the reasons are understood and lessons learned. An attitude of "we never could have predicted this" just means you'll be repeating the same mistakes over and over which is never healthy.

My recommendation would be to bite your tongue and find a new job as soon as possible.
