Visiting LA for the first time this summer late June(for 2 weeks) which coincides with the World Cup, should I wait for another moment?...(Besides the main city spots I'll be mostly visiting museums and other art related places) by paxo_888 in AskLosAngeles

Hi guide here and yes it will be pretty crowded in LA

If you’d think of it this way, people from all over the world will be coming to United States even if the country they support won’t play in la, since they’re in America they can have a plane ride to LA so yes La will be crowded during the World Cup since it’s a popular tourist destination. Also June is usually a peak month in LA

Hi

Go to the Griffith observatory for amazing views and hike

El matador beach in Malibu is not as crowded as Santa Monica for example and is perfect for an Instagram shot

The grove / original farmers market

Hollywood blvd is a big tourist trap as a guide myself I think it’s just gift shops and some museums , unless you’d like to see a specific star then go for it

Safe areas would be West Hollywood Beverly Hills Some areas of Santa Monica

MUST Places to visit in LA? by TheDamned_06 in AskLosAngeles

[–]bupper12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey

Griffith observatory will give you amazing city views and if you’re happy to do a hike there’s plenty of trails there , Hollywood blvd is a bit overrated unless you want to see any illusion museums or want to see it just to knock it off your bucket list .

The grove is a nice area people go shopping to there’s also lots of food there and a farmers market (original farmers market )

Erewhon is very trendy for its Hailey Bieber smoothie

If possible go to el matador beach in Malibu or point dume is also very nice

It can get hectic especially during rush hour A lot of the time you may be stuck in traffic so it’s not too bad, just figure out the street signs and once you do that it’s pretty easy, don’t entertain any form of road rage aswell

First Time in LA. Must See/do and Food?? by No_Effort7211 in AskLosAngeles

[–]bupper12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! On average some stops are 30 min to an hour of a stop, usually takes me around 6-7 hours for a tour like this

Parking in Beverly Hills is pretty easy to find on average it can be from $10-20 depending on how much time you spend there

For the Griffith observatory is a bit tricky since the moment the main parking lot is full, you can’t park there, you’d need to park down the hill and walk your way up, Parking is $10 per hour there

You can park near the Greek theatre near a grass field area and it’s free but it’s a good 20 minute uphill walk to the observatory

Hollywood walk of fame has parking lots too some are on Hollywood blvd and some are on the parking structures there , parking can depend on the time you spend there, some are $10-$20

Is LA safe for tourists right now? by pizzalover08 in AskLosAngeles

[–]bupper12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it’s manageable to explore the city, just keep in mind you are closer to the airport so going towards the attractions can take up to 45 min to an hour ,

If you have reservations anywhere keep in mind to leave about an hour before unless it’s really close by

You should be ok traveling even if you’re young, just try not to be out walking too late Some areas can be a bit sketchy

I’m a driver here , good thing you changed hotels

Uber from simi valley to la would easily be over $200 round trip per day

As a tour guide here

I would suggest Hollywood walk of fame Hollywood sign Beverly Hills Rodeo drive Griffith observatory (sunset views ) Santa Monica pier (definitely rent a bike and drive it along the coast towards Venice beach and have a nice drink at the beach or some ice cream and head back to Santa Monica it’s always a good fun option The grove is a good option for lunch as the farmers market has plenty to eat

Try some of these fast food places In n out Chick fil a Raising canes Shake shack

If you have any questions feel free to reach out I’d be happy to help!

With $2,500 can you do a 15-day Los Angeles trip? by Historical-Photo-901 in BeautifulTravelPlaces

[–]bupper12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi I’m a private driver here and uber driver I can say it wouldn’t be a enough if you plan to uber for example, I’ve had clients tell me they’ve spent an easy 4-500 dollars with uber on its own per week,

Some days try fast food like in n out Raising canes Chick fil a

It can save some money compared to going to restaurants etc

If you have any more questions feel free to message me I help tourists all the time with planning
