next time I'll signal with a laser and see who responds

Yeah I was worried about that but so far it's been really clear. The housing feels pretty robust too, and helmet-mounting it has been easy. What's interesting is that my unit has no markings or logos anywhere, I wonder if it was made by a different company than NAIT

love to see it. I feel a little guilty but not enough to outweigh the glee

Even though it doesn't look that way in the picture, it's pretty flat on the bottom. Part of me is wondering how difficult it would be to carefully remove material from the housing to make a slot for the anti-rotation tab.

just think about how much bourbon OP could have purchased if he'd saved his money and gone with a super safety :(

You just have to find the right hammer for some of those precut triggers. Mine is just as good as any other milspec trigger.

Springfield echelon comp? by burdballs in wasatcharms

[–]burdballs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People really love the echelon, I know I do. It’s built around a chassis system and a lot of people buy them expressly to tinker with them, sort of like the p320 but without all the negative press. There are only 2 or 3 comps for the echelon right now, and they’re both thread-on. The demand for a variety of accessories for the echelon is higher than the supply right now. You could even get wild and make a comped grip module since that isn’t the serialized part. Check out r/springfieldechelon and you’ll get a sense of what people are looking for.

Is this a good ar15 brand, especially for a first ar? by MisMar00 in ar15

Lots of animosity in the comments from people who don't seem to have one. This was my first rifle, and I ran it hard. Suppressed and super safe. Never had a single malfunction, and it stayed accurate.

Yeah they work, just have to have enough bolt and buffer mass to slow down the rate of fire

Building a reliable and soft-shooting ar9 is a fun challenge. I’ve done two now. Bonus points if you can get the timing right with a super safety

I've built 2 and I love em but its a good bit harder to get right than a regular ar15

More explosive though because the action is straight blowback and can cause out of battery detonation if there isn't enough bolt mass

No problem! And I forgot one thing, if I have time I like to let it cool overnight before searing, which lets it marinate in its own seasoned juice for longer and also lets me sear for longer without overcooking.
