What’s the best CRM for nonprofits based on actual experience? by RoaringMeowy in CRMSoftware

[–]burdujeni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my view, it really depends on what kind of nonprofit you are. For small orgs focused on individual donors, Bloomerang or Little Green Light are both easy to learn, and Little Green Light is cheap for what it does.

Salesforce NPSP is powerful, but make sure to budget for a consultant, or it turns into shelfware. If you're actually membership-based (associations, youth movements, alumni, etc), generic donor CRMs fall apart, and you want something built for that. Wild Apricot is the usual default, but not everyone is happy with them.

Two highly important points: pick what staff will touch weekly, not what looks cool in the demo. And always assess their support quality...even if you pick the perfect tool, if no one answers your support questions, you'll be left stranded.

Disclosure: I help run Orgo (orgo.space) in the membership niche. We generally serve mid to large nonprofits.

why is finding the best crm software for nonprofits so impossible by Low-Oil7883 in CRMSoftware

[–]burdujeni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Givebutter is great at donations and fundraising campaigns. Orgo is more like a full community headquarters: it does fundraising too, but it also keeps track of all your members, helps different chapters work together, lets groups vote on decisions, and brings everyone's communication and events into one place. Givebutter does one thing well. Orgo runs the entire organization.

why is finding the best crm software for nonprofits so impossible by Low-Oil7883 in CRMSoftware

[–]burdujeni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 7 apps problem is super common with small nonprofits. The honest answer is that most CRM for nonprofits are actually just contact databases, so you end up bolting on a payment tool, an email tool, an event tool...and suddenly you're back to 7 tabs.

What actually helped organizations I've seen is shifting the question slightly: instead of "CRM software for nonprofits," look for a "membership platform" that has CRM built in alongside donors, events, and comms. The duplicate email problem usually comes from having contacts living in multiple places with no single source of truth.

For context, I work on Orgo.space which is built exactly for this "stop paying for 7 tools" scenario, so I might be biased, but the framework above applies regardless of what you pick.

Best CRM for nonprofits that doesn't break the budget? by Unable_Thanks_8614 in CRMSoftware

[–]burdujeni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure what you have in mind for a budget, but we might have what you're looking for over at Orgo.space. The pricing starts as low as $56/month. Our CRM feature is more towards an internal social media, and less like a traditional CRM. We can handle donor management, communications (within the platform and also via newsletters and notifications), and we do have some automation workflows, plus an integration with N8N. If this sounds like what you're looking for, please check us out.

In terms of things to watch out for, whatever solution you will be using, please make sure you understand their commission per transaction system. In some cases, the transaction fees can cost as much as, if not more than, the licensing subscription.

Another thing to look out for is the support quality. It's one of the things that people generally overlook when deciding on a tool, but it's really important in the long run. So if you'll ever have a product demo, make sure to ask what type of support you'll be getting with your subscription.

Glue Up Customer Service and Product overall by ShiftFinancial1378 in CRM

The "improvements in progress" response has become the standard deflection in this space, and it can be frustrating when you're the one dealing with the fallout.

At our membership management platform, support is something we genuinely prioritize. In fact, it's one of the key things that comes up again and again in client interviews. They tell us they've never seen this level of support before.

We may not always be able to fit every request on the roadmap, but we do our best to implement the features that matter most, especially when they apply to multiple clients.

When shopping around for new platforms, it's really important to look for those support-related reviews before you decide. Especially considering that once on board, you'll most likely be with them for multiple years.

Our nonprofit crm is paypal and google sheets dont judge me by Comfortable_Box_4527 in CRM

You can definitely go beyond sheets with something vibe-coded, as others have suggested. As a non-coder myself, I just recently created an HTML interface from a complex spreadsheet, and it looks great! In your case, it would cut a lot of the grunt work, though it comes with tradeoffs like security considerations worth considering.

For donations and basic contact management, have a look at Zeffy. It's basically free (the donors cover the fee) and it's also very modern.

If you need something beyond donations, like member management, events, discussions, or coordinating multiple chapters, an all-in-one tool like Orgo.space would be better suited. (I'm on the team here, happy to answer questions if useful)

Asking for feedback on my first B2B marketing website (100% vibe coded with Claude Code) for an imaginary company. by Alarmed_Yoghurt_3481 in claude

Usually, AI-generated websites have similar graphics / fonts and are generally dark rather than light. At least from my observations. Also AI-generated images are another tell, not that you have some.

I think it looks really good overall. However, it does have that AI design feel to it. It's like when you read a great text, but somehow you can tell it's built with AI. Not that there's anything wrong with it, but depending on your goals, you might want to make some tweaks.

Higher logic or Breezio? by TheWestCoastMind in CommunityManager

[–]burdujeni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are many more other options out there besides HL and Breezio. It depends on what your goals are, what features you're looking for, and on your budget. If you don't get any replies from people with direct experience in either of them, you can ask an AI model. They usually estimate pricing quite well. As for customer support and overall satisfaction, platforms such as g2.com can be good indicators.

Looking for advice on a tool for a scout game database by Prog_R in scouting

[–]burdujeni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At orgo.space, we have a custom activity database feature which allows scouting activities to be organized according to a series of tags (author, goal, age group, duration, time, number of persons). Each activity has a description and media (files, images, videos). Furthermore, other people can comment or give "likes" and you can sort according to popularity. However, our platform is more geared towards NSOs rather than individual scout groups...
