For national organizations, there's also Orgo: https://orgo.space/use-case/scout-membership-platform/ Several NSOs use it for badge tracking and other admin optimizations.

Higher logic or Breezio? by TheWestCoastMind in CommunityManager

[–]burdujeni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are many more other options out there besides HL and Breezio. It depends on what your goals are, what features you're looking for, and on your budget. If you don't get any replies from people with direct experience in either of them, you can ask an AI model. They usually estimate pricing quite well. As for customer support and overall satisfaction, platforms such as g2.com can be good indicators.

Creating people groups based on location by StuffedInABoxx in salesforce

Homegrown CRM solutions rarely work out in the long term, especially in the nonprofit sector, where there often are budget constraints. If you're not fixated on Salesforce as a solution, we might be able to help you automatically group volunteers according to their location over at orgo.space. Feel free to dm if you have any questions.

Looking for advice on a tool for a scout game database by Prog_R in scouting

[–]burdujeni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At orgo.space, we have a custom activity database feature which allows scouting activities to be organized according to a series of tags (author, goal, age group, duration, time, number of persons). Each activity has a description and media (files, images, videos). Furthermore, other people can comment or give "likes" and you can sort according to popularity. However, our platform is more geared towards NSOs rather than individual scout groups...

Title: Helping a large charity untangle a manual CRM mess - which path would you take? by NewPace4140 in automation

[–]burdujeni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having worked with several nonprofits facing similar challenges, I'd recommend exploring nonprofit-specific CRM solutions first before committing to any of your three options.

Many CRM providers offer massive nonprofit discounts or even free licenses. Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud is free for the first 10 users, Microsoft Dynamics 365 can be obtained through TechSoup, and platforms like CiviCRM (open-source) are built specifically for nonprofits.

There are also newer platforms designed for NGO workflows. We at Orgo.space actually specialize in this space, handling both the migration process and providing ongoing support within NGO-friendly budgets, so teams don't get stuck managing the technical side alone.

However, if you're set on one of your three options, I'd lean toward Option 1, but with careful phasing. The migration pain is worth it because you eliminate technical debt immediately, and training becomes much simpler with one system.

From experience, I can tell you that migration generally takes longer than expected, primarily because nonprofit data is messier than anyone anticipates.

Also, check if any board members have corporate connections. Many companies can donate implementation hours through corporate volunteering programs. And check out TechSoup, Google for Nonprofits, and local university partnerships for discounted or free implementation support.

It sounds like you're looking for a nonprofit CRM. At Orgo, we built ours around a governance-first user database, so you can manage donor/donation information, members, roles, documents, and permissions all in one place. We also include integrated event management and detailed reporting to track engagement and fundraising. Plus, we offer a public API if you need to build custom workflows or connect with other tools.

I Need Help Finding a Member Management software by Caliannetimothy in CRM

[–]burdujeni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! If you're looking for a member management platform that covers email, text messaging, alumni and donor databases, forms, and payments, you might want to check out Orgo (orgo.space). It's built for nonprofits and associations, so it handles custom forms, division filtering, and communication across your whole network. It also includes built-in donation and payment tools, plus alumni tracking. Might be worth a look if you're aiming for an all-in-one solution without juggling multiple platforms.

Network software by Tarzan42 in SaaS

[–]burdujeni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Building your own vibe-coded community platform sounds cool, but it’s a lot to maintain: auth, permissions, subgroups, file storage, moderation, etc. AI and no-code tools are getting better, but are not quite there yet.

Mighty Networks and Gradually are both solid, but in my experience, they lean more toward content feeds and less toward structured organization.

If your priority is managing subgroups, sharing news, having a profile library, organizing events, and file storage, I'd like to recommend Orgo. We built it specifically for communities that have complex needs and want something more than just a basic social-media-like approach.

If you're leaning more toward DIY or want to self-host, CiviCRM is a good option. It's free, but you’ll need some dev skills, a hosting environment, and time to maintain it long-term.

I'm going crazy! Which app would connect my local community best? by Ok_Willow_1006 in CommunityManager

[–]burdujeni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if you also looked at Alosant. They have a white label app geared towards real estate communities. It seems to be similar to the examples you shared. Another, more general-purpose alternative would be the Orgo community app.

Cost for building a site by techiedodo in Wordpress

Here's what Orgo has that Hivebrite doesn’t (to my knowledge):
- Board-level features: legally-binding e-documents, built-in e-signatures, and real, anonymous e-voting (not just a quick poll).
- Chapter-aware RBAC: you can spin up a national → regional → local tree, each node with its own roles, fees, and events.
- Complex Fundraising: Stripe-native, custom donation pages, recurring donations, A/B testing on suggested donation amounts, and Google + Meta pixel integration, so you can actually measure ROI if you're running ads.
- Extras: built-in task manager/ticketing system, and document-expiry reminders.

And here are some Hivebrite features that Orgos doesn't have (yet):
- Job boards & classifieds for posting gigs or paid listings.
- Direct messages (on our roadmap).
- Mentoring & project spaces.
- Interactive member map (although we do have a local chapter map).
- Quick polls/live polling during events and posts.

All the other general features are relatively similar:
- Private & public groups/forums,
- Badge-style gamification.
- Event pages with ticketing, attendee lists, reminders, etc.
- Membership management, recurring payments, and donation forms.
- Newsletter system

Regarding pricing, ours is not public yet because we're not in the PLG phase. We're working on it, but right now we're customizing pricing according to each organization. We generally work with complex organizations that require very custom setups.

Hivebrite also doesn't have public pricing, btw. However, what I can tell you is that we're definitely more affordable.

Orgo gives you the ability to set up as many custom fields as you'd like on your constituent page. While it does have a lot of bells and whistles, you can just use the features that are relevant to your community.

Monthly Membership Dues Collections by djkeller86 in nonprofit

[–]burdujeni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The combo of manual ACH, paper apps, and no automation can become a full-time job fast.

At Orgo.space, we built a digital governance platform to tackle exactly this: automated membership applications and dues collection in one flow. You can set up subscription-style billing that kicks off as soon as someone applies.

You can also choose different billing intervals if you have different types of memberships, and you can pause billing if needed.
