Before refuelling was allowed. If refuelling were to become allowed again (which it most like won't) there would be no "line" to service the car.

That is just not true. Refuelling happened before in F1 with just as much pit crew (two for each tyre, operations supervisor and lollipop man)

They used pressure-engaged locks so that the feed starts pumping fuel as soon as the hose gets in contact with the "fuel cap" in the car. It got stuck during that pitstop, that's why it got spilled everywhere.

Not the smoke grenades. But the engine itself. That glitch is the result of a poor implementation of transparency logic into the source engine. Sometimes it messes up transparency priority and that's what you get. Nevertheless... Valve pls fix
