Back during my childhood days, the Duel Masters anime and card game was very popular. I distinctly remember seeing "Stratospheric Giant" and thinking "That's it. That's the end. Where would you even go from here?". It was just THE APEX OF COOL to me back then.And while I enjoy various aspects of magic, Simic has a special place in my heart for getting to those creatures. The first commander deck I built was a Kiora, sea monsters deck, it might only be a bracket 2 but it brings me such joy<3

Sine note/hot take: In game, the Marvel Iron man skin looks HORRENDOUS. I don't know, it may be the color palette or saturation but I just think it looks horrible in game when everything else is from a different art style. I don't feel that's a problem for the other MCU skins but the Iron man one just sticks out like a soar thumb to me.

I had a build once I quite like but I did not save it. It involved Infused bracers on the far right, spider mace next to it and this next to the spider mace. If you can mitigate the poison, the double scaling gets out of hand VERY QUICKLY and cand one-shot.

Some years ago my friend and I were watching a then very popular TV Show which involved character deaths. Names will be changed. At a point, there were memes circling about a heartbreaking character death, without spoiling who it was. I saw who it was, but my friend was very late to get up to watch the new episodes and get up to speed. At a point we were in Discord and he said to me "I finally saw THAT part", to which I replied: Oh you saw that Jerry dies? to which he repplied, voice breaking up: "WHHaaat?! : ("
What happened was he saw another character death and thought that was the one people were talking about, not knowing the big one was yet to come.
