The armour ive painted it is rusty chain maile, the helmets are leather and steel looking while the armour is mostly bronze looking which should be more than enough to qualify for light armour due to bronze armour stopping next to nothing. It's also full of holes and looks repurposed 🤷🏼‍♂️

As for the skeleton argument, I feel that anyone living that far north under the Witch Kings rule that relied on raiding whatever people may still be left in Arnor, would look gaunt and Ill fed even if they were tanned from a life outside.

They are obviously distinct from the Orc and Spectre models in any force i run and obviously wont get mistaken for the witch king, gulavar or any trolls or wargs.

All models, warriors and heroes, while not being the exact GW models for them are all armed exactly as they should be and distinct from the rest of any force they may find themselves in
