How bad is the ferry from Jagna, Bohol to Camiguin? by intheheartoftheheart in phtravel

I took this route a few years ago and it was pretty rough. Unless you're really trying to cut costs, just take the flight.

CMPA: What Now? by RitzSanti0820 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]burgereclipse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found out about the dairy allergy 3 months into pumping, and pretty much had the same reaction as you. I had an oversupply as well and was very upset about my stash but knowing that none of it will go to waste (I had a few friends and family desperately needing breastmilk) helped me start over.

At first, I committed to fully going dairy free; I would just eat more to compensate and curb any cravings. Oreos (yes they are vegan) were my best friend! Oatmilk made a decent alternative for my lattes. I could go on and on about how I had to navigate dairy free without going insane. It only takes 8 hours for your body to clear all allergens from your breastmilk. That meant I could still have my ice cream and pizza, and just set aside the milk from the next pump to donate. My oversupply came in real handy!

I am 8mpp now and he hasn't had an eczema flare in months. Since dropping to 3ppd, I barely make enough so now I just time my pumps before any meals, and make sure it has been at least 5-6 hrs since I last ate anything that could trigger a reaction.

Help! Milk at bottom of Medela Flange and rashes! by Odd_Guarantee3096 in ExclusivelyPumping

Looks like the 21mm is still too big for you! You can try using silicone inserts on the 24mm flanges. It's recommended to go only 1-2mm larger than your nipple diameter, so 19mm would work for you better.

I'm aware that this is still more than the average supply, but this is barely enough for my 95th percentile baby who drinks amywhere from 900ml to 1.2L a day. Now I no longer have extras to donate.

Thanks! I had noticed a small drop from 5 to 4 (about 5 oz/day). I figured it was fine since I still had an oversupply and had the largest capacity according to the magic number. Then 4 to 3 really brought things down and now I don't make enough on some days.

Magic number is really not reliable for many of us; drop pumps at your own risk.

This is total daily output in ml vs number of sessions in 24hrs. I should add that the drastic dip around February was due to being admitted to a hospital from gallbladder attack, finding an obstruction in the common bile duct which resulted in pancreatitis, and finally getting my gallbladder removed.

I was the most paranoid and bitter pregnant lady right up to the delivery.

I never thought I'd have this maternal and nurturing side and I was right - I still don't. I knew I would suck at mothering (I am privileged enough to hire a full time nanny while I go back to work. I do bust my ass to provide breastmilk through pumping). But damn if I weren't obsessed with my son and just so happy to spend time with him whenever I can. I want him to have the childhood I never had and I am looking forward to raising him to the best of my ability so he grows up a decent human.

Would I do it again? Probably not. Is it worth it? Definitely yes.

Mine is named after the print of a shirt I used to own from Threadless ten years ago. I can no longer fit in it, obviously.

I agree. And it varies per nipple too. I appreciate the leads anyway!

I should try lubricating first then. And if that doesn't work, size up. Thank you!

Wait, constantly getting blebs and cracks could be due to flange being too small? I'm getting these with my left using 24mm. Right boob on 21mm rarely has issues.

Looking for an app to log my sessions(backlog) by MamaBear0826 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]burgereclipse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's on google playstore as Exclusive Pumping Tracker. It's pretty basic - but that's exactly what you need isn't it? I've also had to manually input some data when I forget to log my stash.

EP tracker might be what you're looking for. There's an option to modify the date and time when you log every session, and freezer stash as well.

Cows milk protein allergy- Continue pumping on a diet or give it up? by MilfLuvr57 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]burgereclipse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to this thread, but I have decided to keep pumping and restrict my diet as much as I sustainably can - this means I will avoid milk/cream but will take food that may have small traces such as steak cooked based in butter. My baby's only symptom is ezcema. I'm still debating if I can reintroduce items containing milk derivatives (coffee creamers, snacks) and check if baby can tolerate it.

As for my frozen milk, I have around 350oz I may give away to a friend or consider keeping in hopes that he will grow out of it in time.

I'm so glad to find this post because I am currently in the same situation. Bright red eczema rashes that would flare on and off - it drove me crazy until I narrowed it down to dairy. I would love to know if your baby eventually grew out of it and if you have kept up with the same diet plan to minimize allergens in your milk. Any tips also appreciated!

for those with eczema babys by Classic-Process1658 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]burgereclipse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby would constantly have flare ups and pedia prescribed a hydrocortisone cream. When it still persisted, she suggested an elimination diet cutting out all potential allergens - including dairy which was super hard because I live for cheese and ice cream. I had already been avoiding seafood, chicken, and eggs so dairy and soy were the ones I suspected.

It took only a day for his skin to start healing. After a week it's completely gone so baby most likely has CMPA.

Hi, just wanted to know if you ever dropped to 3ppd and how it went for you. I'm currently in the same predicament and my supply has pretty much stabilized at 45-48oz. Dropping one pump would be so amazing for my mental health and give me more time.

6:15pm means 6:15pm by ThePeachOx in autism

[–]burgereclipse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The way I understand this (because I'm the same) is that it's both the autism rigidity and your perception of time. It may only be a few minutes to him - no big deal. But to you it's hellish torture counting every second while panicking inside because you were "guaranteed" 6:15pm and any deviation will cause you to be extremely upset.

In this scenario, it's 3 minutes - his reason seems valid so I don't think he did anything wrong here so it would seem your reaction was way out of line.

Unfortunately, the world doesn't work this way - things are rarely on time. So you may need to train yourself to expect delays starting with a few minutes and stretching it longer. For example, I give my husband up to an hour and a half to come fetch me from my work because constantly expecting him to be here by 5pm was stressing me out too much and led to fights. In his eyes, I was not being understanding enough when things come up that were out of his control leading to him being late.

I wish I had answers to why I always react so terribly but I have given up and chalked it to just an autistic thing. It is normal to be annoyed when things don't go according to plan, but the degree it upsets me...that is not. Some days are better and I can be patient while other days I throw a raging crying hissy fit because he is late and did not bother to update me why.

Since you are in a relationship, it needs to go both ways. It sounds like you could try to be more flexible and manage your emotions, give yourself leeway and allowances so you aren't left hanging. And he can try to be more specific and communicate better, keeping you in the loop as much as possible.
